A photometer comprising a light source, a rotating plate provided with a plurality of filter means having different wave lengths, a reference plate and a sample means, said rotating plate disposed between said light source and said reference plate and sample means, and a half-mirror and a reflection plate located between said light source and said rotating plate, said half-mirror and reflection plate being disposed so as to form a first light passage adapted to extend to the reference plate, and a second light passage adapted to extend to the sample means, whereby alternate radiation through one of said filter means against the reference plate and the sample means is made by the rotation of said rotary plate.
Abstract:
A digital, abridged spectrophotometer with a detecting head defining a roughly spherical, reflective inner surface broken by a viewing port and a light source port with a number of filtered photodiodes mounted in the head for each receiving light from a sample or standard in the viewing port. A standard sheet of vitrolite is mounted on the housing for movement with a plunger, which trips a switch, to cover the viewing port, while a standard black sheet can be pivoted to cover the viewing port for the calibration which precedes each reading. A digital computer calculates the tristimulus values from the signals produced by the photodiodes and provides signals for a display of the color values.

Ein verbessertes Verfahren sowie eine verbesserte Vorrichtung zur Durchführung eines optischen Vergleichs zwischen zumindest zwei Mustern, vorzugsweise durch Vergleich von auswählbaren Ausschnitten ist durch folgende Merkmale gekennzeichnet : - das zu untersuchende und durch eine Uneinheitlichkeit in der Struktur und/oder Farbe gekennzeichnete Muster (UR, LE, I) wird mittels Streulicht ausgeleuchtet, - aus dem von dem zu untersuchenden Muster (UR, LE, I) reflektierten Licht wird mittels eines Spektrometers (23) ein Interferenzspektrum erzeugt, - das von dem Spektrometer (23) erzeugte Interferenzspektrum wird auf eine Kamera (25, 25') abgebildet, - das hierüber gewonnene Interferenzspektrum und/oder davon abgeleitete Werte des zu untersuchenden Musters (I) dienen als Muster-Werte, die mit entsprechend gewonnenen Muster-Werten eines Referenz -Musters (UR, LE) verglichen werden.

A color measurement instrument to develop the designer color shades with D/8, D/0, 45/), 0/45, D(hemisphere)/8, D(hemisphere)/0) or any other spectral geometry in the range of 350-1100 nm or with any wavelength combinations in visible region of user's choice, with the illumination source, integrating sphere (in case of D8), detector with an optical assembly between source and the sample &the sample and the detector for proper optical focusing using a variable sample aperture.
Abstract:
A tristimulus colorimeter for measuring reflective or transmissive materials is provided. The colorimeter measures a sample under a calibrated light source, receives inputs to detectors, and determines CIE tristimulus values of the same sample as they would occur under a reference light source. The colorimeter includes a calibrated light source and a single silicon chip that includes three or more detectors. Each detector is permanently coated by a different mix of dyes or other colorants that form a wavelength-selective filter. A single silicon chip embodies all the detectors and electronics, with each detector coated over by deposited filter layers.
