PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently detect the alteration of image data.SOLUTION: A different image copy detector unit 203 extracts a CFA pattern from imaged image data on the basis of a first unit area, and from the irregular periodicity of the CFA pattern, detects a first alteration area in which copy is made from image data, different from the imaged image data, to the imaged image data. An identical image copy detector unit 203 extracts a feature amount of the imaged image data, to compare the feature amount of the imaged image data on the basis of a second unit area having a different size from the first unit area, and from the imaged image data, detects a second alteration area in which a copy is made to the imaged image data. As a result of the alteration detection in the imaged image data, an output unit 206 outputs information related to the first and second alteration areas.
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an originality assurance technique by which image alteration is not determined when digital image data simply have undergone, e.g., rotation, enlargement or reduction without any substantial change in contents. SOLUTION: An information processing apparatus includes: a calculator which calculates the feature value of image data, the feature value being unchangeable when the image data rotate; and a validation data generator which generates, based on the feature value calculated by the calculator, validation data to validate alteration on the image data.
