Abstract:
A computer based system and method for translation and communication of messages include sending a message in a source language using a transmission protocol from a first client device to a second client device. The source language message is transmitted using a transmission protocol to a translation server for translating the message from the source language to a destination language by either the first or second client device. The message, in its destination language form, is displayed and stored. The translation server is either on-line or off-line. Text-to-voice and voice-to-text converters are used for conversion of original text messages to voice, or of original voice to text, for transmission to the second client device.
Abstract:
An operation method capable of adaptively operating at least one of a Speech To Text (STT) service and a Text To Speech (TTS)service according to setting or user operation and a system thereof are provided. The method includes requesting a specific type of a communication service connection to a reception side terminal by a transmission side terminal, and performing an operation of at least one of a speech to text service providing speech recognition based text and a text to speech service converting the text into speech data between the reception side terminal and the transmission side terminal, and includes one of recognizing speech data provided from the transmission side terminal and converting the speech data into a text based on a first speech process supporting device connected to the transmission side terminal.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a communication system and a method of maintaining audio communication in a congested communication channel currently bearing the transmission of speech in audio communication between a sender side and a receiver side, the communication channel having at least one signaling channel and at least one payload channel having a quality of service. During the audio communication the quality of service of the payload channel is monitored. If the quality of service of the payload channel is below a threshold the speech at the respective sender side is converted to text; and transmitted over the retained communication channel to the respective receiver side. The text may be converted back to speech at the receiver side.
Abstract:
Enable a user of a dual-SIM dual active DSDA wireless device to handle multiple simultaneous independent real time calls SIMs to prevent calls from being dropped on a multi-SIM wireless device. A DSDA device user busy on an active call receives a second voice call and select to process the incoming voice call using a voice/ text conversation mode. The parties on the multiple simultaneous calls may not be aware of the wireless device's simultaneous communications with one another that the wireless device user is communicating with another party simultaneously with the wireless device.
Abstract:
A service server apparatus is provided which can easily cope with a correction of an error of a task performed based on the content of verbal speeches of a speaker. The service server apparatus includes a service activating unit that receives an instruction for performing a different task from a task performed by an application relating to a speech communication, a telephone/call control enabler that records verbal speeches of the speaker during a speech communication between a plurality of speech communication terminal device, a speech recognizing enabler which performs a task based on the recorded speeches and which generates task data including text data representing the result of the performance and speech data representing the result of the performance, a text translating enabler, and a speech synthesizing enabler. This service server apparatus provides the task data to at least either one of the plurality of speech communication terminal devices or another communication terminal device associated with the speech communication terminal device.
Abstract:
A service server apparatus is provided which can realize a service as if a speaker has a conversation in a face-to-face manner using existing applications. The service server apparatus includes a service activating unit receiving an instruction for performing a task during a communication, a telephone/call control unit recording a call speech of the speaker during the communication between speech communication terminal devices, a speech recognizing enabler, a text translating enabler, and a speech synthesizing enabler performing the task based on the recorded call speech when the instruction is received, and a communication control enabler providing task data obtained through an performance of the task to the speech communication terminal device. The task data is text data obtained by converting the call speech into a text, translated text data obtained by translating the text data into another language, and speech data obtained by converting the translated text data into a speech.
Abstract:
An interface device is provided for a mobile communication terminal for persons who may be elderly, blind or have compromised vision. The interface device includes a directional key for navigating an object in a corresponding region, a controller for determining texts or contents corresponding to the object in the corresponding region, a converter for converting the texts or the contents corresponding to the object in the corresponding region into voice, and a speaker for outputting the converted voice corresponding to the object in the corresponding region.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a method and computer program product for automated configurable acoustic reproduction of Internet site content, in particular via a telephone line. The aim of the invention is to provide a method and a computer program product creating a novel link between telephony and Internet, and thereby allowing automated and flexible acoustic telephonic access to the Internet. In order to achieve said aim, a method according to the invention comprises the following steps for automated configurable acoustic reproduction of Internet site content: a) storing a personal target telephone number for a user in a PC application connected to the Internet, b) selecting at least one piece of target information available via a URL by means of the user and storing the URL and the target information under the personal target telephone number in the application, and c) selecting the target telephone number by means of the user and subsequent acoustic reproduction of the target information from the application by means of a reproduction unit.
Abstract:
A method and device for selecting a recipient of a message from an address book using voice recognition (306,308). Once the correct database entry in the address book has been found (310,312), presence or availability information about the recipient is given to the user (316). Further details include a method comprising receiving a request to compose a message: outputting a first prompt requesting a recipient for the message; receiving a first audible response to the first prompt, the first audible response including a recipient of the message; outputting a second prompt requesting a body for the message; receiving a second audible response to second prompt, the second audible response including a body of the message; and composing the message. An electronic device for voice messaging comprising an audible guide module for audibly prompting a user for recipient information and for audibly prompting a user for message information; a voice recognition module for interpreting received responses to the audible prompt for the recipient information and the audible prompt for the message information; and a message compiler module for creating a message from the responses to the audible prompt for the recipient information and the audible prompt for the message information.
