Data to be checked are divided into blocks, an intermediate integrity check value being computed for each block, the intermediate integrity check values being computed in random order. The invention also relates to a cryptographic device wherein at least one sensitive operation of the cryptographic device is protected by a method according to the invention.

This invention describes a way to broadcast the data to be loaded simultaneously from only one reader to at least 2 cards, and more likely to a big number of cards, for example 500 cards. The loading time of pre-personalization step is to be divided by the number of cards loaded simultaneously to have the time spent for the loading per card. A manufacturing machine for loading data into portable devices comprises processing means 1 to 4 for preparing and transforming data to load into portable devices, and an antenna 5 for transforming the electric signal into an electromagnetic radiation in a loading area capable of receiving at least two portable devices 100.
