Abstract: A sensor patch (100) for attachment to a base plate of an ostomy appliance is provided. The sensor patch comprises a distal surface, a proximal surface, and an outer contour. The distal surface is adapted for attachment to an adhesive surface of the base plate, and the proximal surface being adapted for attachment to the skin surface of a user. The sensor patch further comprises one or more electrodes (102a, 102b) comprising a spatial layout, and a planar adhesive layer (110) having a proximal side and a distal side (110b) and comprising a first spatial shape. The one or more electrodes are arranged on the distal side of the adhesive layer and the first spatial shape of the adhesive layer generally corresponds to the spatial layout of the one or more electrodes.

Abstract: An intermittent urinary catheter (1) is provided. The intermittent urinary catheter includes multiple drainage openings (5) providing for inflow or urine into the catheter. The drainage openings have a largest dimension below 1 mm. With this catheter, the bladder (10) wall is less exposed to large negative suction during catheterisation thus reducing the risk of influencing the bladder wall. Smaller drainage openings provide a reduced risk of influence to the urethra as well.

Abstract: Disclosed is a collecting bag configured to collect urine or stomal fluids from a stoma of a user, particularly a urostomy. Further discloses is an anti-reflux component to prevent reflux of collected fluids from a collecting volume to an inlet opening of a collecting bag. The anti-reflux component includes interior, proximal and distal contoured sheets connected to each other such as to define a passage between them towards the collecting volume. The sheets are further attached to each other to define two or more non-linear connection zones.

Abstract: The present disclosure provides a method, performed in an accessory device, for communicating a leakage state of an ostomy appliance, wherein the accessory device comprises an interface configured to communicate with one or more devices of an ostomy system, the one or more devices comprising a monitor device, and/or the ostomy appliance configured to be placed on a skin surface of a user. The method comprises obtaining monitor data from the one or more devices, the monitor data being indicative of presence of fluid at a proximal side of a first adhesive layer of the ostomy appliance towards the skin surface; determining a leakage state at the proximal side of the first adhesive layer of the ostomy appliance based on the monitor data, and communicating the leakage state of the ostomy appliance via the interface.

Abstract: A method for operating an accessory device to guide the placement of an ostomy appliance on a user having a stoma. The method can include capturing an image or a sequence of images of the user applying the ostomy appliance to the user's body, processing the captured image or sequence of images, including: identifying a location of the stoma in one or more of the captured image or sequence of images, identifying a location of the ostomy appliance in one or more of the captured image or sequence of images, and generating location indicia representative of the location of the ostomy appliance with respect to the stoma in one or more of the captured image or sequence of images. A visual display including the location indicia associated with one or more of the captured image or sequence of images can be provided.
