Abstract: PURPOSE: A method for inputting a user command and an apparatus thereof are provided to input a user command by touch if a condition is satisfied. CONSTITUTION: An input unit(163) is realized by a touch screen. The input unit receives touch and pressure. A controller(170) sets a function of an apparatus based on pressure strength inputted through the input unit. The controller controls the apparatus to execute the function set based on a touch track inputted through the input unit. If inputted pressure strength gets smaller than the first pressure strength and the touch track is formed, the controller controls the apparatus to execute the set function.

Abstract: PURPOSE: A method for editing and transmitting the contents of a short message in a mobile terminal is provided to appoint an SMS(Short Message Service) receiver at the telephone directory menu of a mobile terminal and to edit and transmit SMS contents through an SMS sending screen. CONSTITUTION: If a user selects and inputs a telephone directory menu key using his mobile terminal, a control part enters a telephone directory mode(301,303). If the user selects and inputs a called party number(305), the control part confirms whether SMS transmission to the called party number is possible(307). If the SMS transmission to the called party number is possible, the control part displays a call menu and an SMS transmission menu(309). If the user selects the SMS transmission menu(311), the control part confirms whether the user edits the contents of a short message. Then the control part displays a screen so that the user can input a calling party number. If the calling party number is inputted, the control part transmits the edited short message.
