Abstract: An apparatus for controlling a mobile terminal and a method thereof are provided to control a user interface of a mobile terminal conveniently without blocking a screen. A plural touch sensors(10) are formed at the back side of a mobile terminal, and a touch recognition unit(20) recognizes a finger touch point through the plural touch sensors. The touch sensors display a UI(User Interface) through a display unit(40), and an execution unit(30) recognizes the changes of finger touch points. Based on the recognized results, the execution unit executes the displayed UI.
