PURPOSE: An operation control method of a base station and a device thereof are provided to control the operation of a base station based on the state of mobile stations within adjacent base station coverage. CONSTITUTION: A control unit(121-5) confirms the state of mobile stations which use the state information of mobile stations located in the coverage of the adjacent base stations and the state information of the mobile stations located in the coverage of the base station. The control unit determines the operation state of the base station based on the confirmed state of the mobile stations. The control unit controls the operation of the base station according to the determined operation state of the bases station. Provided is a method and apparatus for discontinuously transmitting/receiving packets for low-power consumption of a terminal in a cellular system for packet transmission. The present research provides a method and apparatus that can perform a low-power consuming operation when a terminal is in active state in a cellular system. The method for discontinuously transmitting/receiving packet data to reduce power consumption of a terminal in a cellular system, including the steps of: a) establishing discontinuous reception/transmission (DRX/DTX) parameters including discontinuous DRX/DTX cycle information for terminals operating in a transmission suspension mode, which is a sub-state of an active state; and b) performing DRX/DTX based on the DRX/DTX parameters in the terminals operating in the transmission suspension mode.

PURPOSE: A device for allocating wireless resources in a wireless communication network and a method thereof are provided to configure sub frame allocation information about each terminal group. CONSTITUTION: A wireless resource is allocated to each terminal group. The cycle and offset of the wireless resource, and information of a sub frame to be used are obtained(S501). PURPOSE: A discontinuous transceiving method for low terminal power consumption in a cellular system and a device thereof are provided to efficiently utilize limited wireless resources by applying parameters for a discontinuous transceiving operation changeably. CONSTITUTION: A terminal state manager(111) manages the idle state or active state of terminals. Among terminals in the active state, a scheduler(113) provides information of terminals which does not transceive data in a predetermined time. A discontinuous transceiving operation controller(112) decides discontinuous transceiving operation for low power consumption.
