In einem Verfahren zur Züchtung von Mikroorganismen und einer Vorrichtung zur Duchführung desselben wird in einem Fermenterbehälter (1) kultiviert, welcher mit einem zentralen Leitrohr (18) versehen ist. Um das Leitrohr (18) herum sind in einem Sammelrohr (2) rückspülbare Filterelemente (3, 3') hängend angebracht. Das verbrauchte Substrat wird kontinuierlich durch die Filterelemente (3, 3') abgezogen und frisches Nährsubstrat zugeführt. Die auf den Filterelementen abgeschiedenen Mikroorganismen werden durch Rückspülen in bestimmten Intervallen abgeworfen, sedimentieren in den Konus des Fermenterbehälters (1) und werden dort als konzentrierte Biomasse abgezogen. Durch Kultivierung bei hohen Mikroorganismenkonzentrationen unter Erneuerung des Substrates wird eine wesentlich höhere Produktivität erreicht.

The reactor (1) comprises means (3, 4) for delivering a gas into the vessel (2) in a region of the vessel (2) near to the bottom (24) of the vessel (2) and beside the filters (3).

A method and filtration module ( 5 ) for providing gas bubbles within an array of vertically disposed porous hollow membranes ( 6 ) to clean the outer surfaces of said membranes ( 6 ) when the array is immersed in a liquid by feeding ( 10 ) the gas bubbles into the array transversely of the vertical axis of the array. In one preferred form, the gas bubbles are retained within the array using a sleeve ( 11 ) surrounding the array ( 6 ) at least along part of its length.

The invention relates to a filter device for separating undissolved substances from liquids, especially in the fields of waste water purification and water treatment. Said filter device is rotatably arranged in a container (2) and surrounded by the liquid to be filtered. The inventive filter device (1) consists of a plurality of interspaced filter elements (6) which are assembled to form a rotating filter. The filtrate is drawn off at the periphery of the filter elements (6). The aim of the invention is to prevent solids from adhering to the filters during the filter process. To this end, the rotating filter has a central cavity containing a ventilation device (8) about which the filter device rotates. The filters are continuously cleaned during the filter process by the air-liquid mixture flowing through.

The invention concerns an equipment for separating a solid/liquid suspension by filtering, in particular biological or physico-chemical purification of liquor sludge, on a textile or membrane filtering material. The invention is characterised in that it consists of at least a plate (14) immersed in the suspension to be treated, said plate being inclined relative to the vertical and made in the form of a recessed plate comprising one or several sections whereof only the lower surface (16) is covered with the filtering support (14) the upper surface being solid, said recessed plate internal enclosures being connected to a manifold or flowline (20) collecting the treated water and gas sweeping means (24; 30) are arranged beneath said plate (14), such that the gas bubbles emitted by said sweeping means flow along the filtering support.
