Abstract:
An elevator car suitable for use by physically handicapped passengers can be selected from a group of elevator cars under the control of a group control wherein call registering and indicating devices positioned at the floors served by the cars include an additional key for activating a switching circuit. The switching circuit is connected to a car load memory and a memory for storing the alighting calls for target floors where passengers are to leave the cars. A first condition is satisfied when there is no alighting call for a car, no exiting passenger to interfere with an entering wheelchair, and a second condition is satisfied when the load, number of passengers, in a car is smaller than a certain load limit value indicating sufficient space for the wheelchair. The switching circuit is also connected to a comparator which compares the travelling time required for a car to travel from its current position to the call entry floor with the traverse time needed by a physically handicapped person to traverse the path between the actuated call registering and indicating device and the shaft door of the elevator concerned. A third condition for the selection of a car is fulfilled when the travelling time is greater than the traverse time. When all three conditions are fulfilled for a car, that car is enabled to participate in the call allocation procedure to determine which car in the group will serve the call.
Abstract:
A remote call registration system for an elevator including a transmitting device carried by a user and a receiving device disposed at a position near to but spaced a distance from the elevator hall. A signal transmitted from the transmitting device is received by the receiving device when the user is at a given walking distance from the elevator hall and sent to a call registration device to register the call prior to arrival of the user at the elevator hall. The distance between the receiving device and the elevator hall is predetermined to be substantially equal to the walking distance corresponding to a mean waiting time required for the cage to arrive at the hall after the call is registered by the call registration device. Thus, the user's waiting time at the elevator hall is substantially reduced.
Abstract:
Elevator commands, such as car calls, are entered through a wireless, hand-held transmitter. A command is received and registered as if it were directly entered on the car-operating panel. Transmission of some calls is delayed after the call is entered on the transmitter.
Abstract:
A voice-controlled elevator security system. Access to an elevator system servicing a plurality of landings of a structure is controlled by comparing a voice signal of a potential user of the elevator system with stored voice signals of all authorized users. The comparison is accomplished by first digitizing the potential user's voice signal and comparing it, on a bit-by-bit basis, with a digital representation of the voice signals of all authorized users. If the comparison satisfies an established criterion, the potential user is determined to be an authorized user. Once this determination has been made, the authorized user can initiate car call signals for those landings to which the authorized user is permitted access. An authorized user can also temporarily modify the previous digital representation of the voice signal when the authorized user is suffering from laryngeal indisposition.
Abstract:
According to an example embodiment, an apparatus for scheduling elevator transport in an elevator system comprising one or more elevators is provided. The apparatus may be configured to: obtain, for a plurality of passengers, a respective transport request for elevator transport using said one or more elevators, the transport request comprising at least respective indications of an origin floor, a destination floor and a requested transport time window; derive, in dependence of said plurality of transport requests, a transport schedule that includes a respective transport allocation for each of said plurality of passengers, wherein a transport allocation for a passenger is derived in accordance with the requested transport time window indicated for the respective passenger, in view of transport allocations derived for other passengers and in view of a transport capacity of said one or more elevators and wherein the transport allocation for a passenger comprises at least a scheduled transport time for the respective passenger; and operate said one or more elevators in accordance with the derived transport schedule.
Abstract:
An elevator system is provided. Aspects includes an elevator car, a sensor affixed to the elevator car, wherein the sensor is operated by a controller, the controller is configured to receive occupancy data associated with the elevator car. The occupancy data is analyzed to determine an occupancy of the elevator car. A first hall call is received and based at least in part on the occupancy and the first hall call, adjusting operation of the elevator car in the elevator system.
Abstract:
The invention refers to a passenger transport system having a plurality of passenger transporters controlled by an transport system control, which passenger transport system further comprises at least one parameter memory configured to store at least one parameter or parameter set for the function of at least one transport system component, which transport system comprises at least one first wireless interface, which first interface is configured to input data regarding at least one stored parameter or parameter set for the function of the related transport system component(s). The passenger transport system comprises mobile devices carried by users, which mobile devices are configured to communicate wirelessly with the first interface, which communication is based on a short range transmission. The mobile devices are configured to be prompted by the first interface to transmit data regarding the parameter or parameter set of the correlated transport system component. The invention allows the customizing of a passenger system interaction with a user to individual user requirements.
Abstract:
The invention refers to an arrangement for the allocation of destination calls in an elevator system with at least two elevators, comprising a wireless transmitter device connected with an allocation control of the elevator system. The transmitter device interacts within a certain mutual distance with a wireless ID device carried by a passenger, which ID device is configured to transmit to the transmitter device an ID which is linked with a special transportation service in the elevator system. The elevator system comprises a memory with correlated operation parameters of the elevators which are linked to the particular special transportation service request of the ID device, whereby the ID device is configured to transmit ID data and/or a call with a departure floor and destination floor to the allocation control. The transmitter device is located within a transmitter accommodation space located at least in the vicinity of an elevator, whereby the transmitter device is located in the vicinity of a tag carrying a symbol correlated to the special transportation service.
Abstract:
A call input device includes at least one touch screen for entering at least one call for an elevator installation. At least one switch protrudes from at least one area of the call input device outside of the touch screen in at least one first input area of the touch screen.
Abstract:
An elevator group management system capable of appropriately performing car assignment processing without leaving any one behind and enabling a passenger to recognize a car to board without fail. A fellow passenger group assignment section assigns fellow passenger groups to respective passengers based on the contents of hall call registration for each floor received from a hall operation panel, and causes the hall operation panel that has sent the hall call registration to display names of the assigned fellow passenger. A fellow passenger group car assignment section executes, on the fellow passenger groups assigned by the fellow passenger group assignment section, car assignment processing of assigning any of a plurality of cars as an assigned car and, in a case of determining the assigned car, provides car control sections with a passenger guide command containing at least combination information on this assigned car that has been determined and the fellow passenger group.
