Abstract:
There is provided an aqueous liquid domestic composition comprising (i) one or more active component selected from the group consisting of (A) 3% to 50% by weight, based on the total solids weight of said domestic composition, one or more softening agent, (B) 2% to 90% by weight, based on the total solids weight of said domestic composition, one or more anionic surfactant, and (C) a mixture consisting of (I) 1% to 25% by weight, based on the total solids weight of said domestic composition, one or more softening agent, and (II) 5% to 75% by weight, based on the total solids weight of said domestic composition, one or more anionic surfactant, and (D) 0.1% to 30% by weight, based on the total solids weight of said domestic composition, one or more amphoteric compound; and (ii) one or more cationic polymer latex comprising (I) 0.5% to 6% by weight, based on the dry weight of said polymer, one or more cationic monomer, (II) 30% to 99.5 by weight, based on the dry weight of said polymer, polymerized units of one or more aromatic monomer, (III) optionally, polymerized units of one or more additional monomer. Also provided is a method of treating paper with such cationic polymer latices.
Abstract:
A polymeric composition comprising a copolymer of ethylene with at least another monomer comprising at least a heteroatom, a tackifier, less than 10% of a compatible plasticizer or blend of plasticizers and a volatile material. The compositions are able to deliver effectively the volatile material incorporated for a long time and also have good adhesion properties on most substrates.
Abstract:
An adsorptive composition comprising a composition that contains at least one kind of fatty acid metal salt of any one of Ni, Cu or Co and ultrafine metal particles having a plasmon absorption over 300 to 700 nm. The adsorptive composition has an excellent effect of adsorbing both amine-type smelling components and sulfur-containing smelling components.
Abstract:
Disclosed are a method for preparing a fragrant powder composition for a tire, a rubber composition for a tire, which includes the prepared fragrant powder composition for a tire, a rubber containing the prepared fragrant powder composition for a tire, and a tire including the rubber which contains the prepared fragrant powder composition for a tire.
Abstract:
A film formed from a water-soluble polymer matrix within which is contained at least one fragrance is provided. The film is water-sensitive (e.g., water-soluble, water-dispersible, etc.) so that upon contact with a sufficient amount of water, the polymer matrix loses its integrity over time to increasingly expose the fragrance to the ambient environment for releasing its odor. The ability to incorporate a fragrance into the polymer matrix is achieved in the present invention by controlling a variety of aspects of the film construction, including the nature of the fragrance, the nature of the water-soluble polymer, the manner in which the polymer matrix and fragrance are melt processed, etc. For example, the fragrance may be injected directly into the extruder and melt blended with the water-soluble polymer. In this manner, the costly and time-consuming steps of pre-encapsulation or pre-compounding of the fragrance into a masterbatch are not required. Furthermore, to obtain a balance between the ability of the fragrance to release the desired odor during use and likewise to minimize the premature exhaustion of the odor during melt processing, the fragrance is selected to have a boiling point (at atmospheric pressure) within a certain range, such as from about 125° C. to about 350° C.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a composition comprising one or more polymerizable monomers, comprising at least one masking agent selected amongst cyclic ethers and at least one perfume selected amongst naturally occurring musks and extracts thereof, synthetic musks, and mixtures thereof.

Abstract:
Disclosed are paint scenting additive mixtures formulated to be introduced into paint compositions as a stable dispersion therein to produce a scented paint which provides a pleasant and long-lasting fragrance or aroma in an ambient surrounding where the scented paint is applied as well as processes for producing scented paints utilizing such additive mixtures and the scented products produced therewith.
Abstract:
Two specific types of ingredients are added to cold or hot melt asphalt or coal tar for the dual purposes of holding, reducing or complexing the obnoxious and toxic odors from asphalt while at the same time allowing a pleasant masking fragrance to predominate. The holding agents consist of various organic compounds which can bond or complex with and effectively hold onto other molecules. Typical complexing agents include dialkylgylcol alkyl ethers and dialkylphthalates. Typical fragrances include natural and synthetic oils or extracts such as lemon oil, orange oil, peppermint, spearmint, cinnamon, bubble gum and most other common fragrances. The concentrated extracts of fragrances consist of natural and synthetic materials having glycols, glycol ethers, alcohols, esters, aldehydes, ketones, and other compounds which can simply mask the obnoxious odors.
Abstract:
A system and method is claimed for dispensing scent into a consumable material. The system involves bottling a volume of consumable material and sealing the bottle with a cap assembly. The cap assembly can have many different configurations. However, regardless of its configuration, the cap assembly includes at least one section of scented plastic that is left exposed to the contents of the bottle after the bottle is sealed with the cap assembly. The scented plastic contains a scented compound. As the scented plastic is left exposed to the contents of the bottle, scent from the scented compound leaches out of the plastic in into the consumable material. As such, the liquid passively acquires the scent of the scented plastic.
