Abstract: A polymer composition is disclosed that contains glass fibers and has an excellent balance of properties. The polymer composition displays a comparative tracking index of greater than about 400 volts and a dielectric strength of greater than about 4 kV/mm. In addition, the polymer composition results in excellent surface properties even when molding parts having a long length. The polymer composition can contain at least one stabilizer in combination with a calcium phosphate, such as a calcium hydroxyphosphate. In one aspect, the calcium phosphate is present in the polymer composition in the form of bone char.

Abstract: There is described a primer composition comprising a silicone polyether, a reinforcing filler, one or more polydiorganosiloxane polymer(s) and a carrier and the preparation and use thereof. The primer composition is particularly designed for use with silicone elastomers especially for addition (hydrosilylation) curing silicone elastomers, the preparation thereof, and to a process for improving the adhesion of silicone elastomeric compositions to pre-cured silicone elastomer material substrates. A method for improving the adhesion of silicone elastomer to a pre-cured silicone elastomeric substrate is provided. The method comprises: applying a primer composition to a silicone elastomer substrate; optionally, air-drying (or baking) the primer composition to form a uniform primer film covering the substrate; applying a hydrosilylation curable silicone rubber composition to the substrate covered with the primer to obtain a composite; and curing the composite in order to obtain a silicone elastomer adhesively bonded to a silicone elastomer substrate.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to multi-layered elastomer-based liners. In at least one embodiment, a coated substrate includes a substrate and a first elastomer coating disposed on the substrate. The first elastomer coating is substantially free of sulfur and includes a first elastomer selected from the group consisting of a polyurea, a polyurethane, a polyurea-polyurethane copolymer, and combinations thereof. The coated substrate includes a second elastomer coating disposed on the first coating. The first elastomer is the same as or different than the second elastomer and at least one of the first elastomer or the second elastomer is a polyurea-polyurethane copolymer.
