Abstract: The present invention provides a thermally conductive grease composition which scarcely increases in hardness during high-temperature heating and has a minimized reduction in growth, containing: (A) an organopolysiloxane including at least two alkenyl groups per molecule, the 25° C. kinetic viscosity being 5,000 to 100,000 mm2/s; (B) a hydrolysable methyl polysiloxane, trifunctional at one terminus, represented by general formula (1) (R1 is a C1-6 alkyl group, and a is an integer 5 to 100); (C) a thermally conductive filler having a thermal conductivity of 10 W/m·° C. or greater; (D) an organohydrogenpolysiloxane containing two to five hydrogen atoms directly bonded to a silicon atom (Si—H group) per molecule; (E) an adhesion promoter having a triazine ring and at least one alkenyl group per molecule; and (F) a catalyst selected from the group consisting of platinum and platinum compounds.

Abstract: The disclosed invention relates to a biodegradable grease composition. The grease composition comprises the reaction product of a dispersion of metal oxide and/or hydroxide particulates with at least one animal or vegetable oil. The dispersion comprises an organic medium and has a water content of up to about 0.5% by weight water. The particulates have a mean particle size up to about 15 microns. A process for making a grease composition using a dispersion of metal oxide and/or hydroxide particulates is disclosed.

Abstract: A thermally conductive silicone grease composition comprising at least the following components: an organopolysiloxane (A) represented by the following general formula: [wherein R1 designates identical or different univalent hydrocarbon groups; X designates identical or different univalent hydrocarbon groups or alkoxysilyl-containing groups of the following general formula: —R2—SiR1a(OR3)(3-a) (wherein R1 designates the previously mentioned groups; R2 designates oxygen atoms or alkylene groups; R3 designates alkyl groups; and ‘a’ is an integer ranging from 0 to 2); and ‘m’ and ‘n’ are integers equal to or greater than 0, respectively]; a thermally conductive filler (B); and an organopolysiloxane (C) having silicon-bonded hydrogen atoms on both molecular terminals and in the molecular chains; is characterized by excellent resistance to heat and reduced oil bleeding.

Abstract: A grease composition containing: (a) the reaction product of: (i) a calcium containing overbased organic acid; and (ii) at least one acid producing compound or derivatives thereof selected from the group consisting of: (1) a non-polymeric hydrocarbyl substituted dicarbonyl derivative selected from the group consisting of an acid, an ester, a salt, an anhydride, ester-acid, acid-salt and mixtures thereof; (2) a copolymer derived from monomers containing (1) an olefin; and (2) an unsaturated dicarboxylic acid anhydride or derivatives thereof; and (3) an inorganic acid containing about 2 or more acidic hydrogens; and (b) an oil of lubricating viscosity, wherein the overbased calcium sulphonate contains colloidally dispersed calcium carbonate is selected from the group consisting of calcite, vaterite and mixtures thereof. The invention further relates to the process to make the composition and its use in greases to increase water resistance.

Abstract: A composition is disclosed which comprises an aryl perfluoropolyether, optionally a halogenated oil, and further optionally a thickening agent. The composition can be used as a lubricant itself or as an additive to an oil or grease lubricant and can withstand temperatures higher than 300° C. without decomposition. The halogenated oil can be a perfluoropolyether, a fluorosilicone, a polytrifluorochloroethylene, or combinations of two or more thereof. The thickening agent can be finely divided silica, boron nitride, clay, soap, poly(tetrafluoroethylene), clay, talc, silica, titanium dioxide, polydimethylsiloxane, polyurea, polyurethane, or combinations of two or more thereof.

Abstract: Provided is a heat conductive silicone grease composition, including: (A) 100 parts by volume of an organopolysiloxane with a specific structure and with a kinematic viscosity at 25° C. of 10 to 10,000 mm2/s, (B) 0.1 to 50 parts by volume of an alkoxysilane with a specific structure, and (C) 100 to 2,500 parts by volume of a heat conductive filler. The composition exhibits high thermal conductivity, retains excellent fluidity meaning the composition exhibits favorable workability, and is capable of filling fine indentations, thereby reducing contact resistance and providing excellent heat radiation performance. Also, the durability, under conditions of high temperature and high humidity, of the composition is improved, thereby improving the reliability of the composition during actual use. Heat generated by a heat-generating body can be dissipated into a heat-radiating body by sandwiching the composition between the heat-generating body and the heat-radiating body.

Abstract: A composition is disclosed which comprises an aryl perfluoropolyether, optionally a halogenated oil, and further optionally a thickening agent. The composition can be used as a lubricant itself or as an additive to an oil or grease lubricant and can withstand temperatures higher than 300° C. without decomposition. The halogenated oil can be a perfluoropolyether, a fluorosilicone, a polytrifluorochloroethylene, or combinations of two or more thereof. The thickening agent can be finely divided silica, boron nitride, clay, soap, poly(tetrafluoroethylene), clay, talc, silica, titanium dioxide, polydimethylsiloxane, polyurea, polyurethane, or combinations of two or more thereof.

Abstract: A silicone grease composition comprising 3-30 wt % of an organopolysiloxane and 60-96.9 wt % of a heat conductive filler is diluted with a least volatile isoparaffin having a boiling point of 260-360° C. Despite a heavy loading of heat conductive filler, the grease composition is easily applicable to heat sinks as a thin uniform coating. The composition is drastically increased in shelf stability at room temperature, easy to handle, and provides for good heat dissipation.
