Abstract:
Abstract:
A landscaping block, patio block, wall block and/or retaining wall block having a multi-textured or patterned exposed surface that can be used in landscaping, retaining wall, and/or patio block systems utilizing a plurality of blocks with a multi-textured or patterned exposed surface. The blocks having the multi-textured or patterned exposed surface can be used in landscaping, retaining wall, and/or patio block systems having a first block type and a second block type. The multi-textured or patterned exposed surface blocks can be used in the construction of walls, fences, and patios to create a geometric design or pattern or a repeating geometric design or pattern in a visually exposed surface of the wall, fence and/or patio constructed.
Abstract:
A cast stone set (1) is provided comprising at least four molded stones (2) each having an irregular perimeter. The stones are configured to fit within a hypothetical defining border (10) as defined. The stones can be used to form a patio stone landscape feature such as a patio or walkway, or to form a stepping path. In selected uses, the stones can be reordered from being positioned with the hypothetical defining border. Methods of use and manufacture are described.
Abstract:
An artificial flagstone for use in combination with other similar flagstones for covering a surface with a natural random look, the flagstone having a generally hexagonal body comprising a first, second, third, fourth, fifth and sixth consecutive vertices; a first pair of generally congruent irregularly-shaped first and second sides extending radially from the first vertex and being rotationally spaced from each other by an angle α of approximately 120°; a second pair of generally congruent irregularly shaped third and fourth sides extending radially from the third vertex and being rotationally spaced from each other by an angle β of approximately 120°; a third pair of generally congruent irregularly shaped fifth and sixth sides extending radially from the fifth vertex and being rotationally spaced from each other by an angle ω of approximately 120°; wherein the sides of each of the first, second and third pair of sides have at least one split deviation along their length and are respectively rotational images of each other, whereby in use in combination with other flagstones, each one of the sides is matingly engageable with the sides of an equivalent pair of sides of a neighbouring flagstone.
Abstract:
According to the invention, blocks (10) are formed of rigid coloured material shaped as mosaic components of the road sign; the sign is then composed by arranging the blocks (10) as a mosaic, and incorporatedly inserting the blocks (10) into the upper layer (40) of the wearing course, in such a manner that the upper surface of the mosaic road sign is substantially coplanar with the road surface.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a stone structure assembly, comprising a plurality of stones, especially concrete blocks, having similar height, upper and lower sides extending on parallel planes and vertical side walls. In order to place the thirteen stone blocks (G1, F1, E1, D1, C, A, B, B, C, Dr, Er, Fr, Gr) pertaining to said assembly in such a way that they cannot be displaced and that similarly narrow spacing gaps are formed in-between said stones, two stones (C) are shaped as a prism with the same surface area and eleven stones (G1, F1, E1, D1, A, B, B, Dr, Er, Fr, Gr) are shaped as a trapezium with differing surface areas. The stones in the stone structure assembly are configured as a single piece with a bottom section (2) and a top section (3) set back from the peripheral surface of the base section (2) at least in certain areas.
Abstract:
A moulded brick building set is inserted in a pavement. In order to provide various laying possibilities with bricks of various sizes, the moulded bricks have on their side walls mutually adapted spacers which mesh with each other.
Abstract:
A set of building elements has a plurality of slab-shaped artificial stones (A1-H15) made of concrete which may be laid next to each other, forming a rectangular pattern, and which have a plurality of different contours which describe an irregular contour along the sides of their respective basic format, similar to that of natural stone. The artificial stones in the rectangular pattern occupy at least three rows (A-H) and at least three columns (1-15). The number of artificial stones per row (A-H) and per column (1-15) is the same. A plurality of artificial stones (A1, E9, F15) has a quadrangular basic format different from the rectangular format. Artificial stones (A1-A15) having different basic formats are arranged in the lines (A-H). According to the invention, the set of construction elements is designed in such a way that artificial stones (A9-H9) with different basic formats may also be laid in the columns (1-15) of the pattern formed by the set of construction elements. A plurality of artificial stones (A5, A14, E15, D5) with pentagonal basic formats are distributed among the rows (A-H) and columns (1-15) of the rectangular pattern.
Abstract:
A set of shaped bricks for paving with broad joints (50) between the bricks, in which: (a) the set of shaped bricks has first bricks (4) with a larger area in plan and second bricks (6) with a smaller area in plan; and (b) only one of the two kinds of brick (4; 6) have several integral projecting spacers (8) around their periphery to form the broad joints (50).
Abstract:
A drainage system comprises a filter portion and a drainage cell portion. The filter portion is arranged to filter stormwater that in turn flows under gravity to the drainage cell portion. The filter portion is able to receive stormwater runoff from a paved surface.
