Abstract:
Systems and methods for a permeable pavement system are described. The permeable pavement system includes blocks designed to facilitate water seepage between the blocks and to permit water storage within the blocks. The blocks may be cabled together to create paving units that facilitate installation and maintenance of the pavement, system. The permeable pavement system may also be heated to a predetermined range with one of electrical energy and hydronic heating.

Abstract:
This application regards high performance shock pad with flexible densities that can be adjusted depending on the interests of the end user and the intended application. These adjustments may be made by varying the pressure that is applied and the amount of material used, namely rubber granules and binder. These high performance shock pads offer several advantages regarding the state of the art, among others, the control of the thermal expansion, the elimination of the draining surface, the ease of transport, the ease of application and the maintenance of the technical characteristics over time. These high performance shock pads can be used in many types of flooring, particularly sports flooring, comfortable flooring and safety floors.
Abstract:
The present document describes a padding layer for a multi-layered sports playing field. Various improvements are proposed for enhancing athlete's safety, surface hardness, water drainage, heat management, ease of assembly / installation, durability / longevity, uniformity, resistance to change in weather according to seasons, and stability. The improvements include: matching (multiple-wise) of spacing between rows of backstitches of the top layer and the drainage channels on top surface of the padding layer; a slit in the external tab portion of the padding layer panel, a slit near the lateral part of the tab or blank portion providing a hinging effect thereto, and/or protrusions at various positions on the tab or blank portions to account for change in size of the padding layer panel; drainage holes within the drainage channels; and various configurations of drainage channels on the bottom surface of the padding layer to improve evacuation of water toward the sides of the playing surface.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a purpose-made brick which is laid to form a longitudinal structure and which comprises an essentially rectangular surface with longitudinal and transversal sides provided with spacing means or splined means such as ribs. Each section of the longitudinal sides (2, 3) separated by a transversal mid-plane (7) comprises as least two ribs (12, 13; 14, 15), whereby the rib (12; 15) situated nearer to a transversal side (4, 5) of the purpose-made brick (1) forms a spline pair with a rib (13; 14) of an opposing brick, said rib (13; 14) being situated farther from a transversal side (4, 5). This spline pair is located at a distance, equivalent to at least the width of a rib, from the spline pair that is formed by the rib (13; 14) situated farther from the transversal side (4, 5) and by the rib (12; 15) of the opposing brick, said rib (12; 15) being situated closer to the transversal side (4, 5), whereby the rib (13; 14) situated farther from the transversal side (4, 5) is arranged on a trapezoidal projecting part (16, 17) which is symmetric to the transversal mid-plane (7) and which has lateral shoulders (18-21).
Abstract:
The invention relates to a system of shaped blocks, comprising full blocks with an essentially rectangular base and half-blocks, which are essentially formed by halving the full block in the transversal central plane, for laying in the longitudinal bond. Each section (2a, 2b, 3a, 3b) of the longitudinal sides of a full block (1a), which are separated by a transversal central plane (7), has at least two studs (12, 13; 14, 15; 43, 44; 45, 46), the stud (12; 15; 43; 46) that is closer to one transversal side (4, 5) of the shaped block (1) forming an interlocking pair (48) with a stud (13; 14; 44; 45) of a corresponding block that is further from a transversal side (4, 5), said pair being positioned at least a stud-width away from an interlocking pair (49) formed by the stud (13; 14; 44; 45) that is further away from the transversal side (4, 5) and the stud (12; 15; 43; 46) of the corresponding block that is closer to the transversal side.
Abstract:
The invention has the following characteristics: the paving stone system may consist of paving stones having any desired outer contour; the paving stones have one or several channels (2) at their bottom side; these channels may also cross each other; one or several partial depressions (5) are arranged on the bottom side of the paving stones; one or several vertical spacing cams (3) are located on the sides of the paving stones, as well as one or several downwardly open depression (1); a continuous chamfer (4) is arranged at the top side of the paving stones.
Abstract:
The application relates to a ground covering system for playgrounds, sports areas and the like, having a superstructure and a substructure, wherein the superstructure comprises a ground covering panel (1) in which at least one granular cover (3) consisting of a polymer, preferably a mixture of comminuted rubber and an elastically curing polymeric binder, is formed, and wherein the substructure comprises a ground covering mesh (2) which is formed at least substantially from a polymer, preferably a mixture of comminuted rubber and an elastically curing polymeric binder. The application further relates to a ground covering for playgrounds, sports areas and the like and to a method for forming same.
Abstract:
