    Abstract: An apparatus and a sensor module for detecting illuminance are provided to ensure a compact structure thereof by installing a resistor and a capacitor on a wiring board loading an amplifying circuit element and a converter switch element. An apparatus for detecting illuminance comprises a wiring board(11), a plurality of light receiving elements(13), an amplifying circuit element(14), a conversion switch element(15), and a passive element including a resistor(17) and a capacitor(18). The wiring board includes a motherboard(31) made of silicon, a pad(49), wiring patterns(41~43,45~48), and a via. The light receiving elements, the amplifying circuit element and the conversion switch element are installed on the wiring board. The pad and the wiring patterns are formed on a main surface of the motherboard. The via extends through the motherboard to be electrically connected to the pad or the wiring pattern.
