Abstract:
Tools for matching the color of a coating on an article are disclosed. These tools include (a) a color chip that includes a coating exhibiting gonio-apparent properties; and (b) a window disposed directly adjacent to at least one side of the color chip, wherein the window has dimensions sufficient for an observer to view the gonio-apparent properties of a coating on an underlying article and compare it to the gonio-apparent properties of the coating on the color chip. Also disclosed are paint chip books that include one or more pages having a plurality of such color tools and method for matching the color of a coating on an article utilizing such color tools. ® KIPO & WIPO 2009
Abstract:
A method and a system for automatically diagnosing electronic equipment using pattern recognition of a thermal image are provided to determine abnormality and deterioration by measuring temperature of the electronic equipment by using a thermal image camera, thereby significantly reducing costs required for automatic electronic equipment diagnosis. A thermal image camera obtains a photographed image of each of equipment by photographing plural equipment located in different locations as moving(S410). RGB(Red, Green and Blue) space coordinate system color signals are obtained from the photographed image(S420). By converting the RGB space coordinate system color signals into uniform color space coordinate system color signals, the uniform color space coordinate system color signals are obtained(S430). From the uniform color space coordinate system color signals, uniform color space coordinate system color difference signals are obtained. By using the uniform color space coordinate system color difference signals, abnormality of the equipment is determined(S440).
Abstract:
A projector and a control method thereof are provided to compare measured brightness and a color coordinate with reference brightness and a reference color coordinate stored in a storage to adjust the RGB output value of the projected image automatically. A projector(100) comprises an input part(110), an image signal processing part(120), a measuring part(140), a storage(150), and a control part(160). The measuring part measures the brightness and a color coordinate of the RGB of an image displayed on a screen. The storage stores reference brightness and a reference color coordinate of the RGB. The control part compares the measured brightness and the color coordinate with the reference brightness and the reference color coordinate of the storage, and controls the image signal processing part to adjust the RGB output value of the projected image when the measured brightness and the color coordinate exceed a predetermined range from the reference brightness and the reference color coordinate.

A computer implemented method includes: providing a database of digital images of colors and metadata related to the colors; using one or more search criteria to identify one or more of the digital image colors; displaying the digital images of the identified colors; selecting a color of interest from the displayed colors; using the metadata to identify additional information related to the color of interest; displaying the digital image of the selected color and the additional information; and using the displayed digital image of the selected color and the additional information to make a final color selection. An apparatus that can be used to implement the method is also provided.

A method of product recommendation includes receiving an image taken of a tool, disposed against a target substrate and including a frame with an aperture in which the substrate is visible and a color correction scale disposed proximate to the aperture, the scale having at least a first color correction region and a second color correction region, the color of the first region being different than the color of the second region. The method also includes locating a color correction scale region of the image corresponding to the scale and a target substrate region of the image corresponding to the substrate visible in the aperture, analyzing the scale region to determine a color correction, correcting the image according to the color correction, extracting a set of substrate region values from the substrate region of the image, and generating a product recommendation according to the set of substrate region values.
