    Abstract: A measurement system for monitoring ambient temperature and airspeed is disclosed. The measurement system uses a single temperature sensor, disposed in the environment under test, in communication with a controller. The controller supplies a first current to the temperature sensor to measure the ambient temperature of the environment. This first current is selected so that it results in little or no self-heating of the temperature sensor. After the ambient temperature is determined, a second, higher current is applied to the temperature sensor. This higher current serves to heat the temperature sensor be a predetermined amount. Based on the expected temperature rise, the ambient temperature and the actual monitored temperature, the airspeed may be determined.

    Abstract: A method for controlling a temperature regulated system within the cabin of a vehicle. The method comprises providing a first temperature sensor and a second temperature sensor, the temperature senseors being located within the cabin such that the first temperature sensor is located at a substantially higher eve than the second temperature sensor when the vehicle is on a level surface. The method further comprises calculating TR, an estimated temperature, wherein TR is calculated using T1, the temperature measured by the first temperature sensor and T2, the temperature measured by the second temperature sensor. The method then comprises operating the temperature regulation system according to the calculated value TR for a predefined period of time after start up, and thereafter operating the temperature regulation system according to the measured value of T2.

    Abstract: A temperature detector for measuring temperature of a heat exchanger of a vehicular air-conditioning unit includes a holder holding temperature measuring means for measuring the temperature of the exchanger and a harness connected to the measuring means. The holder has a through hole through which a measuring section of the measuring means extends, and first and second grip parts through which the harness extends. The first grip part has such a width dimension that the harness having a width dimension in the horizontal direction can be inserted therethrough, and the second grip part has such a width dimension that the harness having the width dimension in the vertical direction can be inserted therethrough and that the harness having the width dimension in the horizontal direction can not be inserted therethrough. Accordingly, a portion of the harness between the first and second grip parts is twisted and held by the holder.

    Abstract: A sensor arrangement (1) for measuring a pressure and a temperature in a fluid is disclosed.     Abstract: A method and implementing computerized system are provided for enabling point-specific temperature control for a given airspace. In an exemplary embodiment, infrared sensing devices are positioned in a vehicle to sense and record temperatures at various points within the vehicle airspace. This temperature profile is mapped relative to points within the vehicle and compared to a preferred temperature database to provide temperature control signals. The temperature control signals are, in turn, applied to temperature control air vent devices which are effective to direct appropriate air flows to specific areas such that actual measured temperatures at control points in the vehicle airspace approach the preferred temperatures for the respective control points. In another example, when sensed temperatures are above or below predetermined emergency condition limits for a predetermined period of time, various alarm systems are activated until the sensed emergency condition is corrected.
