A safety apparatus for a rider motivated wheeled vehicle, the safety apparatus including a remote control module and a remotely actuable braking apparatus. The remote control module includes an electronic control signal activation module, a manual signal activator coupled for activating the electronic control signal activation module for generating a control signal, and a power supply coupled for powering the electronic control signal activation module. The remotely actuable braking apparatus includes an auxiliary brake device that is positionable for engaging at least one wheel of a rider motivated wheeled vehicle; an electronic actuator module coupled to the auxiliary brake device and being responsive to a received control signal for operating the auxiliary brake device, and a power supply coupled for powering the actuator module.
Abstract:
The present invention supports the control of a plurality of controlled devices. With three dimensional accelerometer components, detection of a user action on a remote controller and the orientation of the remote controller are viable through small electronic devices. Aspects of the invention are based on the three dimensional accelerometer components to provide a remote controller that can detect the user action. Based on the user action, the remote controller transmits a signal to the controlled device which conveys the corresponding command. A selected controlled device may be matched to the remote controller. The remote controller and controlled device may also support a learning mode, in which the controlled device sends a list of supported commands to the remote controller. The remote controller then matches an associated action with each command in the command list.

Method for communicating information by infrared radiation between a control command transmitter for a motorized product for closure, privacy or solar protection in a building and a control command receiver, comprising the transmission of a communication frame including: a preamble signal consisting of the repetition of pulses of a first type, and a data signal, the data being translated into the form of pulses of a second type, wherein the preamble signal and the data signal are modulated at the same frequency and wherein the data signal is separated from the preamble signal by a signal-free period having a duration of greater than twice the maximum duration separating two successive pulses of the second type.

Die Erfindung betrifft eine Einrichtung und ein Verfahren zur Übertragung von Messsignalen in räumlich ausgedehnten Versorgungsnetzen (28) mit Messgeräten, die wenigstens einen Sensor (10) aufweisen, zur Übertragung von statistischen Kennwerten zum Betriebsverhalten an wenigstens eine Leitwarte (30), die zur Überwachung und Steuerung des Versorgungsnetzes (28) dient, wobei die wenigstens eine Leitwarte (30) einen Kontrollraum aufweist, der zentral und/oder dezentral angeordnet ist, und je ein Sensor (10) für die aktuelle örtliche Ermittlung von definierten Kennwerten an verschiedenen Positionen vorgesehen ist und wobei zur Übermittlung der jeweiligen Messwerte an die wenigstens eine Leitwarte (30) eine kabellose Datenübertragung vorgesehen ist, welche die Daten zu festgelegten Zeiten jeweils paketweise überträgt, wobei die Übertragung der Messsignale dynamisch erfolgt, so dass hierdurch die richtigen Daten zum richtigen Zeitpunkt in der richtigen Quantität und Qualität zur Verfügung stehen und für Analysezwecke die übertragenen Daten hinsichtlich ihrer Relevanz für den Betrieb des Versorgungsnetzes (28) klassifiziert werden.
