Abstract:
An apparatus capable of utilizing job data or the like stored in other first printer as a first kind printer which is provided with HDD for storing job data at inside thereof and a second kind printer which is not provided with HDD, in which there is prepared an apparatus of not receiving printing instruction of what cannot be printed by its own printer without informing presence thereof to a user and a data sharing printing system is constituted by connecting the apparatus by LAN.
Abstract:
A data-reading image capture apparatus, camera, and method of use. The capture apparatus has a digital image detector sensitive to a band of visible radiation and a band of invisible electromagnetic radiation. An optical system, in the capture apparatus, focuses the bands of electromagnetic radiation on the image detector. An image separator is disposed in the capture apparatus, in operative relation to the digital image detector and optical system. The image separator is switchable between an image capture state and a data reading state. The image separator is attenuative for the band of invisible radiation and transmissive for the band of visible radiation in the image capture state. The image separator is attenuative for the band of visible radiation and transmissive for the band of invisible radiation in the data reading state.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a mobile system for access to and visualisation of standard Internet contents and/or services. The system comprises terminals cooperating with a communication central 5 via some mobile network adapted for wireless data communication. The system is characterised in that the mobile terminals 1 are connectable to a printing device 11, that the communication central 5 is connected to the Internet 27, and that in said communication central 5a for the purpose intended stored software application transforms the by the user requested Internet contents and/or services to one or more print file(s). The file(s) are thereafter wirelessly sent to said printing device 11, whereby the users are able to print said print file(s) without having the program applications stored in the mobile terminals 1.
Abstract:
A camera converter is disclosed. The camera converter includes a number electronic components that operate to selectively generate digital still images responsive to user controls using video signals received from a removably attached video conferencing camera, which includes a lens and a first communication interface. The camera further includes a housing that operates to enclose the electronic components, and to removably accept the video conferencing camera. The housing in particular includes a view finder that is optically coordinated with the lens of the video conferencing camera, a second communication interface that mates with the first communication interface of the video conferencing camera, and user input mechanisms for providing said user controls.
Abstract:
A system and method are provided for reliable and customer-friendly delivery of documents. One method of the present invention include the steps of: producing document data for printing documents; accepting requests to print selected documents; determining whether a selected document is accepted for electronic delivery or for non-electronic delivery; printing documents accepted for non-electronic delivery; and electronically delivering documents accepted for electronic delivery.
Abstract:
An image recorder has a storage for a visual broadcast program. The image recorder makes a question of whether or not the data of the visual broadcast program is to be automatically deleted from the storage after the playback of the visual broadcast program is terminated. The image recorder makes it possible to interrupt the storage of a selected one of a plurality of visual broadcast programs with the storage of at least another visual broadcast program continued. The image recorder is capable of recording both the data of visual broadcast program and digital image data from another source, the priority is given to the data of visual broadcast program over the digital image data.
Abstract:
PCMCIA slots are provided to a printer. When a fax modem card is mounted in the PCMCIA slot, a variety of settings are performed to enable the printer to execute a fax function in addition to its original printing function. More specifically, a fax data area is secured in a memory region. Then, fax control interrupt routine operation, fax panel display, and fax command reception are enabled. Contrarily, when no fax modem card is mounted in the PCMCIA slot, the memory region is used entirely for storing print data. Settings of wasteful functions, such as the fax control interrupt operations, which can lead to system errors are not performed.
Abstract:
A facsimile machine including an electronic mail receiving device, a condition data setting portion sets various condition data related to output of electronic mail (e-mail) message and stores the set condition data into an EEPROM. The condition data is used when an output method and an output timing of the e-mail message are specified based on contents of the e-mail message. The condition data can be set by a user using an operation inputting portion to meet user's needs. Next, an output condition determining portion compares the e-mail message received at a mail receiving portion, with the set condition data, to specify an output method according to the condition data.
Abstract:
A complex image processing device, with a serial bus switching ability, is electrically connected to a computer by a serial bus. The device has a housing, an image capturing unit installed inside the housing for generating digital image data from a picture, a memory card reading unit installed inside the housing for reading digital data stored in a memory card, and an electromagnetic mechanical switch installed between the serialbus and the device. The electromagnetic mechanical switch, controlled by a software driver, can switch between the image capturing unit and the memory card.
Abstract:
In a user-friendly image forming apparatus which reduces operation errors by users, a job being read unregistered in a print waiting table and is added in the print waiting table when a print starting condition is satisfied, and printed at a resolution according to the data source of the job. When the print mode is the weekly magazine binding mode, the print starting condition is satisfied at the time when reading of all pages of image data is completed. When the print mode is the upward-facing mode, it is satisfied at the time when reading of one page of image data is completed.
