A printer for creating images on photosensitive sheets, receives digital images and uses a display to print the images onto a photosensitive medium. An optic projects image from the display onto photosensitive media. The printer converts the image data into separable binary planes of data sequentially transfers the separate binary planes to the display to create continuous tone images on the photosensitive media.

An electronic still-video camera is provided capable of preserving image data having a quantity which is greater than the storage capacity of a memory cartridge (memory card) loaded in the camera. Besides being capable of receiving an external memory in a memory cartridge loaded in the camera, the camera incorporates an internal memory. Image data obtained as a result of photography is stored in either the internal memory or the external memory, depending upon which memory has been selected by a memory selection switch.

Disclosed herein is an image recording apparatus for recording an image signal outputted from an image sensing device on a recording medium held in a cassette. The image recording apparatus comprises a reading device for reading information about control of the image sensing device from incident data stored in a memory device installed in the cassette, a supplying device for generating data for setting the image sensing device from the information read by the reading device and supplying the data to the image sensing device, a generating device for generating information about the control of the image sensing device based on data for setting the image sensing device and a writing device for writing the generated information into the memory device installed in the cassette. Since the generating device and the writing device are provided, the image recording apparatus can provide satisfactory ease of operation. Further, since camera setting data can be stored for each cassette, an image-sensing condition at the time that the contents of each cassette have been recorded, can be immediately set to a camera.

A film image input system is disclosed which provides an increased degree of freedom of design thereof, can be reduce the size and costs thereof, and can execute a trimming operation with ease. The film image input system forms an image of a developed still photo film 134 on a light receiving surface of an image pickup element 140 through a zoomable taking lens 138 and outputs to a monitor TV an image signal photo-electrically converted by the image pickup element 140 to thereby reproduce the film image on the screen of the monitor TV. The film image input system comprises at least one mirror 137 interposed between the photo film 134 and taking lens 138 for bending the optical axis of the taking lens 138, a mirror drive mechanism 168 for inclining the mirror 137 in all directions, and an operation part 170 for driving the mirror drive mechanism 168 in order to execute a desired scanning. This allows the system to be made compact and increases the freedom of design of the system.

A presentation supporting system is constructed to be space-saving and to allow compact packing under a non-service condition. In the presentation supporting system, the presentation conditions are adjusted adequately without much labor and time. The presentation supporting system of the invention has a table on which a subject matter is placed, a camera head unit for taking a visual image of the subject matter, a camera supporting base member projecting upright from a rear side of the table, and a folding camera supporting arm member to which the camera head unit is fixed. The folding camera supporting arm member is stretched upward under a service condition and is folded under a non-service condition. The presentation supporting system includes a control circuit having an EEPROM which stores settings of control buttons on a front operation panel and a control panel when a key set button is activated. These settings include selection of auxiliary lighting units for reflecting light or a base light unit for transmitting light, a sound output volume, an iris opening, a focal position, a zoom range, settings of a white balance mode and a display mode. The control circuit reads an operating condition of the key set button immediately after power is supplied, and reproduces the settings stored in the EEPROM under an ON condition of the key set button. Under an OFF condition of the key set button the control circuit sets default values.

An apparatus providing the capability to scan media at different resolutions is presented. The apparatus comprises an image area which is disposed between scanner lid and a scanner base, the lid is pivotally attached to the base to provide easy access to the image area. A light source resides within the scanner lid. Two separate light paths are provided, the first fight path is reflected off opaque targets, through the lid before entering the base and onto an array of photosensitive devices. The second light path is passed through transparent media, into the base and onto the array. First and second focusing lenses are provided, each for a light path. The focusing lenses provide two separate magnifications which yield two separate resolutions.
Abstract:
A cam cylinder is extended from a base member of a holder and is inserted into a guide cylinder secured to a main body. A lens mount including an optical system and a CCD is inserted into the cam cylinder. A guide pin is screwed on the lens mount through a guide groove of the guide cylinder and a cam groove of the cam cylinder. When the holder is rotated around the optical axis, the lens mount can move along the optical axis, so that a distance between the CCD and a film held by the holder is changed. As a result, by only rotating the holder, the magnification for displaying the image can be changed.
