Abstract:
PURPOSE: A photographing apparatus and a control method for controlling an image size are provided to change and store a photographed image data stored in a large mode to a small mode. CONSTITUTION: A photographing lens(10) forms an image of a subject to be photographed on a surface of a CCD(15). The CCD(15) converts the image of the subject into an analog signal. An analog signal processor(20) includes a CDS which correlates the analog signal from the CCD(15) and an AGC which controls a gain of the analog signal. An A/D converter(25) converts the analog signal from the analog signal processor(20) into a digital signal. A DSP(30) processes the digital signal to generate an image signal. A frame memory(35) stores an image signal of one frame to be displayed. A microprocessor(40) controls a generation, a storage, a display, a compression, and a recovering of an image signal. An encoder(55) converts a photographed image signal into a displaying signal. A timing signal generator(60) generates a timing signal under a control of the microprocessor(40). A driving signal generator(65) generates a driving signal for driving a photographing operation of the CCD(15).
Abstract:
Methods, systems, and computer program products are provided that determine the merit of a given captured image, and apply an intelligent policy to the uploading of the image. An image may be captured by an image capturing device of a user. A merit score is determined for the captured image. The merit score indicates a predicted value of the captured image to the user. An access policy is assigned to the captured image based on the determined merit score. Access to the captured image is enabled based on the assigned access policy. For instance, the captured image may be deleted, may be automatically uploaded to a server over a fee-free network connection only, may be uploaded to the server over any available network connection, may be uploaded at a reduced image resolution, and/or may be uploaded at full image resolution, depending on the access policy.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a digital camera that includes a wireless modem for transferring images via a wireless network. Before taking photos, the user can select various configuration settings, one of which uploads tagged images to a photo service provider or other website. If a network connection is not available when images are captured, the camera automatically wakes up later to check for network availability. If a suitable network connection is available, the camera operates in a reduced power state to upload the images from the camera. Data indicating whether or not each image has been uploaded and/or transferred via the wireless network is stored in the camera, and icons are displayed along with the images, to indicate to the user whether or not an image has been transferred to their computer or uploaded to their website.
Abstract:
Electronic equipment, e.g., a mobile phone, includes a camera that continuously acquires a sequence of images that are stored on a FIFO basis, and a shutter release that identifies a current image. A number of images acquired sequentially before and after the current image and the current image are analyzed to select automatically a preferred image based on predetermined image attributes, e.g., open eyes, smile, image quality, etc. A method for storing images, selecting a sequence of images before, during and after shutter release, and selecting automatically from the sequence of images a preferred image based on image attributes. Software logic for carrying out the aforementioned method. A method for automatically adjusting a selected image based on attribute features from another image.
Abstract:
According to one embodiment of the invention, a camera determines whether to acquire an image ( e.g. , automatically), determines whether to store the acquired image, and determines how to store the acquired image.
Abstract:
A digital photographing apparatus and a method of controlling continuous photographing performed by the digital photographing apparatus. According to the method of controlling continuous photographing performed by the digital photographing apparatus of the present invention, continuous photographing can be achieved according to a user's intention without causing inconvenience for a user during continuous photographing, and a desired event can be photographed from its start to end rather than during a precisely given interval.
