Abstract:
A printing cartridge for a printing system is provided. The printing cartridge comprises a housing configured so as to be insertable within a printing system and an integrated circuit device positioned on the housing so as to interface with the printing system when the printing cartridge is inserted therein. The housing holds a supply of media (and media colorant). The integrated circuit device has memory circuitry carrying data relating to the media (and media colorant) and communicates the data relating to the media (and media colorant) to the printing system when the integrated circuit device is interfaced therewith.
Abstract:
In embedding a watermark, it is possible to effectively detect the watermark even in case of rotating, cutting, and enlarging/shrinking an image by designing the watermark to be robust against geometric modification and embedding the watermark as 2-dimensional form, for example radial or concentric form. Also, in detecting a watermark, it is possible to detect a peak formed by the watermark through the convolution of the watermark and an input image while accommodating a size of the generated watermark, thereby effectively detecting the watermark using correlation between the input image and the watermark.
Abstract:
PURPOSE: A method for inserting and detecting a digital watermark and a device for inserting and detecting the watermark by using the same are provided to improve toughness of the watermark to signal transformation by using the watermark formed in two-dimensional radial shape, increase accuracy and promptness of watermark detection by using a convolution. CONSTITUTION: A method for inserting a digital watermark into an image signal includes the steps of generating each pseudo noise code by using a user key and a specific key, adding each pseudo noise code, arranging the digital watermark formed by the addition in two-dimension shape. A method for detecting the inserted digital watermark includes the steps of reinforcing the components of the inserted watermark; generating a watermark arranged in two-dimension shape; adjusting the size of the generated watermark the same as the size of the image signal; detecting peaks included in the image signal by performing a convolution operation between the adjusted watermark and the image signal; extracting the watermark included in the image signal by measuring positions of the detected peaks, capturing each domain at the position whether the peak has been measured, adding up each domain; calculating a correlation of the extracted watermark and the generated watermark; detecting the inserted watermark according to the correlation.
Abstract:
Systems and methods are provided for image processing. For example, an image shooting function is started; first additional information associated with an image is acquired; an identification for the first additional information is configured; the identification is stored associated with the image and the first additional information; and the first additional information and the image are stored separately.
Abstract:
Techniques and mechanisms are provided for facilitating the capture and review of visual images by visually impaired users. In one implementation, these techniques and mechanisms provide pre image capture functionality and captured image review functionality. With the pre image capture functionality, audio messages are provided to the user to help the user position an image capturing mechanism properly to capture the desired subjects in a picture, to frame the subjects properly within the picture, to size the subjects properly within the picture, etc. With the image review functionality, audio messages are provided to the user to help the user enjoy and "visualize" a visual image that has been captured and is being displayed to the user. With these functionalities, a visually impaired user is able capture and review images to a much greater degree than is currently possible.
Abstract:
The present invention proposes a method for generating a security bi-level image used to form one of the inks of a banknote, said image comprising an original bi-level image and a security pattern, said security pattern being obtained in the spatial domain by the inverse Fourier transform of the combination in the frequency domain between the Fourier transform of an auxiliary image and a two-dimensional sweep, said two-dimensional sweep being a circularly symmetric, two-dimensional pattern created by sweeping a self-similar, one-dimensional function along a 360-degree arc, such as said security pattern being detectable from the maximum value of the cross- correlation of said one-dimensional function with the Fourier transform of one line of said banknote, said method comprising the step of: -determining a distance map of the original bi-level image, -generating a merged image by linearly interpolating at least a part of said distance map with said security pattern, -thresholding the merged image to obtain the security bi-level image, -applying the security bi-level image on a support.
Abstract:
A method of determining the geographic location of a hardcopy medium having an image side and a non-image side, includes scanning a hardcopy medium to produce a scanned digital image; scanning the non-image side of the hardcopy medium; detecting a location feature from the scan of the non-image side of the hardcopy medium; using the location feature to determine the geographic location of the scanned digital image; and storing the determined geographic location of the scanned digital image.
Abstract:
Metadata associated with a digital content record is modified, where the digital content record is to be provided to a particular recipient, and has associated therewith an account. A recipient list associated with the account identifies one of three or more metadata detail levels associated with each of a plurality of potential recipients. In this regard, a particular metadata detail level is determined based at least upon a comparison of the particular recipient and the recipient list. Then, the metadata associated with the digital content record is adjusted in accordance with the particular metadata detail level. Accordingly, a relative detail, or resolution, of information provided by the metadata may be controlled.
Abstract:
A document management system comprises a first functionality operable to cause a first file to be created, a second functionality operable to cause an image to be printed comprising identification information, and a third functionality operable to cause a link to be created to said file, said link arranged to link the identification information to said first file.
Abstract:
An image processing system processes image data. A log creating part acquires log information regarding processing of the image data. A log saving part saves the log information. A document data saving part saves as document data the image data and a log ID for identifying the log information.
