Abstract:
The present invention is to provide a lactic acid bacteria-fermented composition having an excellent dietary function, which is prepared by lactic acid fermentation of milk containing beta-casein-H. The lactic acid bacteria-fermented composition is prepared by fermenting a mixture of: milk containing beta-casein-H; lactic acid bacteria for fermenting said milk; and oligosaccharide. The functional, lactic acid bacteria-fermented composition has a refreshing and sour flavor and a plain taste and, at the same time, shows an excellent dietary function, because it is prepared by fermenting milk containing beta-casein-H, instead of fermenting general milk. When the fermented composition is ingested by mice or rats, it provides a weight loss of about 11% compared to mice or rats, which did not ingest it. Thus, the fermented composition has a greatly improved weight loss effect and exhibits an excellent dietary function.

In a multi-band U-slot planar antenna, a limited ground plane is provided. A connector includes a ground terminal connected to the ground plane and a feeding terminal for feeding a signal. A planar radiation device includes a feeding point connected to the feeding terminal, a central U-slot having a symmetrical configuration about a central axis thereof, the central axis extending vertically from the feeding point, and at least one pair of auxiliary U-slots symmetrical with each other about the central axis. In the multi-band U-slot planar antenna, alternatively, at least one auxiliary U-slot may have a symmetrical configuration about the central axis.

Provided is a method of predicting risk of lung cancer recurrence in a lung cancer patient or after a patient has lung cancer treatment, the method including: obtaining a biological sample from a lung cancer patient; measuring an expression level of at least one marker gene from the biological sample, the marker gene being selected from the group consisting of marker genes of Table 1, 2 or 3, to obtain data for the expression level of the marker gene; and determining whether the expression level of the marker gene corresponds to an expression level of a recurrence group or an expression level of a non-recurrence group.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a symbol detector for detecting symbols received in a receive modem of short-range wireless personal area network of a ZigBee system (IEEE 802.15.4). An OQPSK short-range wireless communication system according to the invention acquires frequency offset in a received signal using a symbol contained in a preamble of a packet of the signal, multi-delay-differentiates the signal by a plurality of predetermined delay times, and complex-conjugates the acquired frequency offset to eliminate the frequency offset. Then, the OQPSK short-range wireless communication system according to the invention correlates the received signal with a PN sequence delay-differentiated through the same process to detect the symbols corresponding to the received signal.

Provided is a Field-Effect Transistor (FET)-based biosensor including: a substrate; a source and a drain, disposed on the substrate, having opposite polarity to the substrate; a gate, disposed on the substrate, contacting the source and the drain; and an inorganic film capable of binding with a biomolecule, disposed on a surface of the gate. A method of manufacturing the FET-based biosensor and a method of detecting a biomolecule using the FET-based biosensor is also provided. The FET-based biosensor can be manufactured using a semiconductor fabrication process without performing an additional process. Therefore, the inorganic film can be selectively deposited on a surface of a specific gate of a single FET, or on the surfaces of some gates of a plurality of FETs using patterning. Furthermore, the FET-based biosensor can be used to effectively detect trace amounts of a target biomolecule in a sample.

A plasma display panel (PDP) and the method for manufacturing the same. A method for manufacturing a plasma display panel includes forming electrodes along one direction on a substrate, applying the dielectric paste along the other direction perpendicular to the one direction of the electrodes on the substrate, drying the dielectric paste and firing the dried dielectric paste to form a dielectric layer. Only one swath is needed for the entire dielectric layer, saving time and production costs, while providing a superior quality layer. Accordingly, since the dielectric paste is applied along the direction perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of the display electrodes, it is advantage that tack time and the number of cleaning the nozzle is reduced.

The coefficient generator is configured to generate a first set of coefficient values from one or more twiddle factor coefficients. The memory stores the first set of coefficient values. The accumulator receives and accumulates one or more coefficient values from the first set of coefficient values, the accumulator generating one or more output values based on the accumulated one or more coefficient values.

Provided are a flash memory device and method of controlling certain program operation voltages. The flash memory device includes a high voltage generation circuit providing a high voltage to a block selection circuit and a program voltage to a row decoder. The high voltage generation circuit includes a charge pump, a high voltage control circuit controlling the charge pump to provide the high voltage, and a program voltage control circuit providing the program voltage in relation to the high voltage, wherein the high voltage control circuit and the program voltage control circuit operate in response to the same control code.

A sleeve connector for an electromagnetic clutch has a first holder carrying a diode and a resistor for absorbing surge voltage and removing an induced magnetic field generated by an electromagnetic clutch field coil assembly. First and second terminals respectively connected with the diode and the resistor are held by a second holder so the terminals are insulated from each other. A molded plastic middle assembly encapsulates the diode, resistor, both holders and both terminals and joins the holders to each other.
