Abstract: PURPOSE: A relay method of a base station and a communication method of a terminal are provided to perform a role of a relay station by setting a relay link between the base station and an adjacent base station when a backhaul link of the base station is damaged. CONSTITUTION: When a backhaul of a base station(110) is damaged, the base station is changed to an RS(Relay Station) operation mode. The base station requests a handover for another base station(120) to a lower RS(310) or a lower terminal(210). The lower terminal performs the handover for the base station or stops communication for a while until relay link settings of the base station are completed. Abstract: PURPOSE: A relay method of a BS(Base Station) is provided to enable the BS to be a relay station by establishing a relay link with adjacent base stations if the backhaul link is damaged. CONSTITUTION: In case a backhaul link is damaged, a multimode BS transmits AAI-MMADV(Advanced Air Interface Multimode Advertisement) message for a multimode function to a terminal(S110,S120). The multimode BS transmits an RNG-REQ(Ranging Request message) to a target BS(S130). The target BS negotiates basic performance with the multimode BS(S150). The multimode BS and the target BS constitutes ASN(Application System Network)(S180).

Abstract: PURPOSE: A method for supporting security in multicast communication and an apparatus thereof are provided to support security in the multicast communication by using multicast a security key shared in a mobile station and a base station. CONSTITUTION: A base station and each mobile station shares a MAK(Multicast Authentication Key)(S410). The MAK is shared by a plurality of mobile stations as only a key in a multicast group. The base station and each mobile station produce a prekey for MCMAC(Multicast Cipher-based MAC) and a MTEK(Multicast Traffic Encryption Key), in other words, a MCMAC-MTEK prekey from the MAK(S420). The base station and each mobile station produce the MCMAC key and a plurality of MTEKs from the MCMAC-MTEK free key(S430). The base station and each mobile station codes or decodes a multicast traffic by using an MCMAC key and/or MTEK(S440).
