Abstract:
The present disclosure generally relates to context-specific user interfaces, e.g., for use with a portable multifunction device are disclosed. The context-specific user interfaces provide, inter alia, indications of time and, optionally, a variety of additional information.
Abstract:
At an electronic device with a touch-sensitive display, a remote camera control user interface may be displayed. In some examples, a user may provide input through a gesture at a location corresponding to the touch-sensitive display and/or through a rotation of a rotatable input mechanism to control a camera of an external device. Camera control may include control of the external device's camera features, including image capture, zoom settings, focus settings, flash settings, and timer settings, for example, and may also include access to the external device's library of previously captured images.
Abstract:
The method for manipulating a cursor is performed at a portable multifunction device with one or more processors, memory, and a touch screen display. Initially, content of an electronic document is displayed on the display, where a cursor is displayed within the electronic document. Two substantially simultaneous touch inputs are then detected on the touch screen display, and preferably anywhere on the touch screen display. In response to detecting the two substantially simultaneous touch inputs, a portion of the content in the document closest to the cursor is selected, and the portion of the content is displayed as selected content.
Abstract:
A method is performed at a multifunction device with a touch-sensitive display. The method includes: playing a first piece of content in a full-size mode on the display at a predefined aspect ratio; while playing the first piece of content on the display in the full-size mode, detecting a first gesture on the display; in response to detecting the first gesture: shrinking the playing of the first piece of content to a first region of the display while keeping the predefined aspect ratio and displaying information related to the first piece of content in a second region of the display.
Abstract:
Target electronic devices can be remotely controlled using a personal electronic device are disclosed. The personal electronic device can identify target devices that are responsive to remote control. The personal electronic device displays graphical user interface objects that, when selected, cause the personal electronic device to instruct the target electronic device to perform an operation.
Abstract:
Methods and devices display an interactive notification element at an electronic device. The method comprises detecting an occurrence of an event associated with an application. In response to detecting the occurrence of the event, a notification element is displayed. A user of the device inputs a sequence of one or more gestures to reveal actions he can take in response to the notification element. The device then displays a plurality of action option UI elements, the selection of each action option UI element causing the application to perform a different action.
Abstract:
In accordance with some embodiments, a computer-implemented method is performed at a portable electronic device with a touch screen display. The method includes: displaying graphics and an insertion marker at a first location in the graphics on the touch screen display; detecting a finger contact with the touch screen display; and in response to the detected finger contact, expanding the insertion marker from a first size to a second size on the touch screen display and expanding a portion of the graphics on the touch screen display from an original size to an expanded size. The method further includes detecting movement of the finger contact on the touch screen display and moving the expanded insertion marker in accordance with the detected movement of the finger contact from the first location to a second location in the graphics.
Abstract:
A method, comprising: at a portable electronic device with a touch screen display: displaying, in a portrait orientation of the touch screen display, a list of video items; while displaying the list of video items in the portrait orientation, detecting user selection of a video item; and in response to detecting the user selection of the video item, initiating display of the corresponding user selected video in a landscape orientation of the touch screen display.
