Abstract: A service device (e.g., a user equipment (UE), a new radio NB (gNB), or other network component or network management component) can process or generate a Downlink Control Information (DCI) that schedules a Physical Uplink Shared Channel (PUSCH) transmission in a PUSCH. The PUSCH transmission can be generated based on a Demodulation Reference Signal (DMRS) according to a Discrete Fourier Transform (DFT) spread Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (DFT-s-OFDM) waveform in uplink. A sequence of the DMRS can be generated based on a Gold sequence and a Pi/2 Binary Phase-Shift Keying (BPSK) modulation.

Abstract: Described is an apparatus of an Evolved Node-B (eNB). The apparatus may comprise a first circuitry and a second circuitry. The first circuitry may be operable to determine a first Sounding Reference Signal (SRS) sequence and a second SRS sequence. The second circuitry may be operable to process a first Uplink (UL) transmission from the first UE incorporating the first SRS sequence over a first set of subcarrier frequencies. The second circuitry may also be operable to process a second UL transmission from the second UE incorporating the second SRS sequence over a second set of subcarrier frequencies. The second SRS sequence may comprise at least a first block that overlaps the first set of subcarrier frequencies and a second block that does not overlap the first set of subcarrier frequencies.

Abstract: Systems, devices, and techniques for adjusting a user equipment (UE) processing time parameter in a wireless communication system that include transmission and reception points (TRPs) are described. A described technique performed by UE includes receiving a first physical downlink shared channel (PDSCH) from a first TRP corresponding to a first scheduling physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) and a second PDSCH from a second TRP corresponding to a second scheduling PDCCH. The technique further includes transmitting a first hybrid automatic repeat request acknowledgement (HARQ-ACK) message and a second HARQ-ACK message based on the first PDSCH and the second PDSCH in accordance with a first processing time parameter and a second processing time parameter, respectively. The first processing time parameter can be based on a PDSCH mapping type, a processing capability of the UE, and one or more timing characteristics of the first PDSCH and the second PDSCH.

Abstract: Systems, devices, and techniques for beamforming in wireless communication systems are described. A described technique performed by a user equipment (UE) includes monitoring a downlink reference signal from a base station; transmitting, via a physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH) associated with a hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) process number, a beam failure recovery request (BFRQ) in response to a change in a quality of the downlink reference signal, wherein the BFRQ comprises new beam information; receiving, by the UE, a downlink control information (DCI) message to trigger a PUSCH transmission corresponding to the HARQ process number; and transmitting, by the UE after at least a predetermined number of symbols from a last symbol of a physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) reception containing the DCI message, information via a PUCCH in accordance with the new beam information. The UE can apply the new beam information to uplink and downlink channels.

Abstract: Disclosed herein are system, method, and computer program product embodiments for performing beam failure recovery. An embodiment operates by detecting a beam failure on a secondary cell (SCell). The embodiment transmits, to a base station, a beam failure recovery request (BFRQ) for the SCell over a primary cell (PCell). The embodiment transmits the BFRQ for the SCell over a Primary Uplink Control Chanel (PUCCH), a Physical Random Access Channel (PRACH), or a Primary Uplink Shared Channel (PUSCH) over the PCell. The embodiment can transmit a schedule request (SR) to allocate a PUSCH over the PCell. The embodiment receives, from the base station, a response for the BFRQ for the SCell over the SCell or the PCell. The embodiment then uses a new beam for the SCell based on the response for the BFRQ for the SCell.
