    Abstract: Some aspects of this disclosure relate to apparatuses and methods for supporting channel state information (CSI) report configuration for network spatial elements adaptation. The UE can receive a CSI report configuration from the base station indicating a first configuration to configure a first CSI report, and a second configuration to configure a second CSI report. The UE can determine one or more active configurations selected from the first configuration and the second configuration, based on whether one or more of the first configuration or the second configuration is activated by a Medium Access Control (MAC) Control Element (MAC CE) or triggered by a Downlink Control Information (DCI). The processor can be further configured to select, based on a report mode, one or more CSI reports from the first CSI report and the second CSI report. The report mode can be a basic mode or an enhanced mode.

    Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure relate to devices, methods, apparatuses and computer readable storage media for relaxing evaluation of radio link quality. According to embodiments of the present disclosure, a terminal device transmits, to a network device, capability information indicating a capability of the terminal device to relax an evaluation of a radio link quality. The terminal device receives, from the network device, a relaxation configuration for relaxing the evaluation. The terminal device performs the evaluation using a relaxed evaluation period determined based on the relaxation configuration. The relaxed evaluation period is longer than a normal evaluation period without relaxing the evaluation.

    Abstract: Systems and methods for beam failure recovery (BFR) are disclosed herein. A user equipment (UE) receives downlink (DL) reference signal(s) on corresponding beam(s) from a base station. The UE performs beam failure detection (BFD) on such beams used for user data to determine whether a beam failure has occurred, and candidate beam detection (CBD) on such beams not used for user data to identify candidate beams for recovering from the beam failure. The BFD and the CBD are based on both uplink (UL) channel performance considerations and DL channel performance considerations, as determined using the DL reference signal(s), such that a beam failure may be determined in the UL, the DL, or both, and a candidate beam may be identified for UL, DL, or both. The UE sends a beam failure recovery request BFRQ with this information to the base station, and the system changes beams accordingly.
