Abstract: Disclosed are N-alkoxycarboxamide compounds of formula I, salts thereof and methods for their preparation. The compounds contain terminal pyrazole and thiophene moieties Specific examples of compounds of formula I include: 3-difluoromethyl-1-methyl-1H-pyrazole-4-carboxylic acid methoxy-[1-methyl-2-(2,4,5-trichlorothiophene-3-yl)ethyl]amide, and 3-difluoromethyl-1-methyl-1H-pyrazole-4-carboxylic acid methoxy-[2-methoxy-1-methyl-2-(2,4,5-trichlorothiophene-3-yl)ethyl]amide. The compounds of formula I are microbiocides and particularly fungicidally active. The compounds are useful for controlling or preventing infestation of useful plants by phytopathogenic microorganisms.
