    Abstract: PURPOSE:To provide spherical particle of a polymer having amino group at side chain and modified by ionic adsorption with a compound having anionic group and useful for coloring, imparting of ultraviolet absorptivity, prevention of chapped skin, etc., as an additive for cosmetic, soap, shampoo, etc. CONSTITUTION:The objective spherical polymer particle has an average particle diameter of 0.1-100mum (preferably 0.2-70mum), contains amino group at side chain and modified by ionic adsorption with a compound having anionic group (e.g. sulfone group, carboxyl group, phenolic OH group, etc.) such as acidic dye, ultraviolet absorber, L-ascorbic acid, colorant for food, colorant for cosmetic, colorant for quasi-drug, etc. The polymer is chitosan or a copolymer containing acrylic monomer or aromatic vinyl monomer having amino group. A cosmetic having high bleed-out resistance can be produced by the use of the polymer particle. The particle exhibits a function of slow-releasing agent by contacting with an aqueous solution of NaCl, etc.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To facilitate the formation of fine spherical particles of an epoxy resin improved in heat resistance and solvent resistance, by treating said particles cured with an amine curing agent with a polybasic acid. CONSTITUTION:Fine spherical particles of an epoxy resin, average particle diameter of 0.1-100mu, cured with an amine curing agent are treated with a polybasic acid. As processes for preparing said particles, (1) a process in which an uncured epoxy compound is cured after it is dispersed in an aqueous liquid and (2) a process in which an uncured epoxy compound and an amine curing agent are polymerized by static precipitation polymerization in a liquid polyol are particularly preferable from the viewpoint of the uniformity, sphericity, etc., of the particles. Above all, the process (1), especially, that in which an emulsion made by using a surfactant, etc., is used is preferable in respect of the rate of production. As the polybasic acids, mineral acids and compounds having carboxyl groups or sulfonic groups directly bonded to a benzene ring are used desirably.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the reflection preventive optical thin film easy in manufacture and superior in abrasion and scratching resistance by using a specified compound subjected to hardening treatment. SOLUTION: The reflection preventive optical thin film is made of the hardened compound represented by the formula in which Rf is an alkylene group containing F atoms; (a) is 0 or 1; and (b) is 0, 1, 2, or 3. Rf may be a straight car branched alkylene group, and a part or all of the H atoms are substituted by the F atoms. The preferable alkylene group to be used is a straight chain one from the point of easiness of manufacture and all the H atoms are, preferably, substituted by the F atoms in the case of perfluoroalkylene in order to obtain the optical thin film as low as possible in the reflective index. It is favorable from the point of the easiness of manufacture that (a) is 0 or 1, and if (b) exceeds 3, the hardness of the optical thin film tends to become insufficient.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a new fluorine-containing compound, having excellent thin- film forming properties, capable of forming a cured product having a low refractive index and a high hardness and excellent in scuff resistance and durability and useful for an optical thin film, an optical filter, etc. SOLUTION: This fluorine-containing compound is represented by formula I at least one of A1 to A4 is a group represented by formula II [X is OCH3 , OC2 H5 , OC3 H7 , OC4 H9 , Cl or Br; Y is CH3 , C2 H5 , C3 H7 or C4 H9 ; (b) is 1-6; (c) is 1-3] and the others are each H, (n) is 2-14}, e.g. 1,10-bis[2,3 -bis( N -[3 -(triethoxysilyl) propyl] carbamoyl} oxy)propyl] perfluorodecane. The compound represented by formula I is obtained by carrying out the urethanizing reaction of a compound represented by formula III with a compound represented by formula IV.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain low reflective optical thin film which has a low refractive index, high surface hardness, has excellent flawing resistance and durability and is easily formable by curing a compsn. into which a specific crosslinkable fluorine-contg. compd. is incorporated, thereby forming the thin film. SOLUTION: The optical thin film is formed by curing the compsn. contg. the crosslinkable fluorine-contg. compd. obtd. by bringing a compd. having a perfluoro group and plural OH group within one molecule and a silane compd. having an isocyanate group and plural hydrolyzable groups bonded to silicon into urethanating reaction. The preferable crosslinkable fluorine-contg. compd. is exemplified by the compd. expressed by formula I. In the formula I, A1 and A2 denote the org. groups expressed by formula II and one thereof may be H; (n) is an integer from 2 to 14. In the formula II, X denotes -OCH3 , -OC2 H5 , -OC3 H7 , -OC4 H9 , -Cl ro -Br, Y denotes -CH3 , -OC2 H5 , -OC3 H7 , -OC4 H9 ; (b) denotes an integer from 1 to 6, (c) denotes an integer from 1 to 3.
