본 발명은 아기용 쿠션에 관한 것으로서, 아기(영/유아)의 머리와 신체부분을 기대어 잘 수 있도록 베개부와 쿠션부가 형성되어 자는 동안 아기의 몸이 뒤집히지 않고 고정될 수 있도록 하여 질식사와 같은 사고를 미연에 방지할 수 있으며, 상기 쿠션부를 탈부착 가능하게 하여 사용자의 상황에 대해 알맞게 적용할 수 있음은 물론, 유지 보수가 용이한 아기용 쿠션에 관한 것이다.

The present invention relates to a an active pillow system and a method for manipulating a person's resting conditions, wherein the actual resting conditions of the person are determined by a sensor unit, an actigraph, a temperature sensor and/or a humidity sensor for instance, and wherein an acoustic synthetic jet cooling mechanism, is triggered by the determined actual resting conditions for manipulating the person's resting conditions.

Steady-state cooling of the skin is achieved by a support surface without requiring external power or circulation of air. Heat is transferred from via a thermally conductive layer or layers of material(s) that are soft, pliable, and comfortable to sit or lie on. The layer is connected to conductive materials that transport heat and diffuse the heat to a cooler environment.

Disclosed is a deep sleep pillow with an air-purifying function and/or an oxygen-generating function. The deep sleep pillow comprises a planar base, a cover panel covering the base such that an inner space is left between the base and the cover panel, side portions having inlet and outlet ports and covering open spaces on both sides of the cover panel and an air-purifying unit which is disposed within the inner space to purify air flowing in through the inlet port and discharge the purified air through the outlet port. The cover panel includes a first cover sheet having a plurality of vents and forming an outermost cover, a plurality of drawer-type slides which are provided underneath the first cover sheet to accommodate healthy functional substances therein, a slide receptacle for supporting and retaining the respective slides and a carbon sheet-heating element which can generate heat by means of electrical activation and is disposed underneath the slide receptacle to activate the functional substances within the slides when it generates heat.

A pillow is provided that includes a foam core and a gel insert molded to each side of the foam core. Methods of producing a pillow are further provided and include a step of providing a foam molding system having a top mold defining a plurality of air ports and a bottom mold defining a plurality of air ports. A vacuum is applied to the plurality of air ports in both the top mold and bottom mold, and a gel insert is then positioned against each of the plurality of air ports. A foam precursor is subsequently dispensed into the bottom mold atop the gel insert, and the top mold is secured to the bottom mold. The foam precursor then expands within the foam molding system and bonds with the two gel inserts to produce a pillow having a gel insert molded to each side of the pillow.

A pressure variable thermal adaptive microclimate surface is provided. The microclimate surface may be a pad, pillow, mattress or the like. The microclimate surface is especially suitable for providing optimal heating and/or cooling of a person. The heating or cooling is provided through heating or cooling delivery system located in the sculpted polyurethane foam microclimate surface. The microclimate surface has a plurality of independently moving pillars which is optimal in reducing pressure ulcers on the skin of a person caused by the person spending extended periods of time on a typical surface, such as a hospital mattress. The heating or cooling delivery system may be provided through three possible configurations.
