    Abstract: PURPOSE: An end-cap structure for the oil filter of a vehicle is providedto include the upside contact surface of a hook cap as a sealing part so that the sealing part is not exposed to heat that is applied in the melting process, thereby preventing the sealing part from being thermally transformed or damaged. CONSTITUTION: An end-cap structure for the oil filter of a vehicle includes a base cap (11) that has a hole which is formed in the center thereof and a hook cap (12) which is mounted at the hole so as to be lifted. The hook cap includes a hollow body (13), a contact flange type hook (14), and a lift supporting part (15). The hollow body has a lower side that opens, and a lower side that is closed. The contact flange type hook protrudes outward from the body and limits that the hook cap ascends by contacting with the lower surface of the base cap with the hook cap ascending, and forms the sealing for the outer oil between the base cap and the contact flange type hook. The lift supporting part extends upward of hook from the vicinity of body, limits that the hook cap descends by contacting with the upper surface of base cap with the hook cap descending by a protrusion (15a) being formed on the upper end, and forms a by-pass between the body and the lift supporting part through a hook.

The methods comprise: placing a first sealing member in a channel formed in a first collar piece which has a first filter element coupled thereto; inserting a second filter element coupled to a second collar piece through the input orifice of the first collar piece and into the first filter element; causing the first collar piece to snap-fit engage a flange of the second collar piece; using the first sealing member to provide a seal between the first and second collar pieces which are snap-fit engaged with one another; receiving a fluid in an input orifice of the second collar piece; performing a first-stage filtering process using the second filter element to remove contaminants from the fluid; and performing a subsequent second-stage filtering process using the first filter element to further remove contaminants from the fluid.

    Abstract: An oil filter element has first and second end disks between which an annular filter medium is held. The oil to be filtered flows through the filter medium in a direction radial to the longitudinal axis of the oil filter element. The oil filter element has a central channel arranged on the clean side and provided with a central outlet opening in the region of the first end disk. A radial sealing element, formed by an elastically deformable inside circumferential section of the first end disk, is arranged in the region of the outlet opening. In addition, an axial sealing element is arranged on the outside of the first end disk. This axial sealing element is held on the first end disk by retaining elements. An oil filter having such an oil filter element is provided.
