Abstract:
The invention relates to mechanical engineering, and more particularly to experimental pneumo hydraulics. A method of producing a gas-liquid aerosol stream with variable liquid phase dispersivity involves the separate supply of a gas and a liquid to a phase mixing chamber of a gas-liquid aerosol generator. The gas is introduced along the axis of the phase mixing chamber in one or several streams via interchangeable nozzles, and the required distribution of the streams of gas is achieved by using nozzles with different cross-sections. The liquid is injected via interchangeable injectors at a pressure greater than the pressure in the phase mixing chamber, in an axial direction from the rear side and in a plurality of radial directions from the lateral sides. Changing the standard size of the liquid injectors provides the required size, concentration and distribution of the drops. At the outlet from the phase mixing chamber, a stream of liquid-gas aerosol passing through a stream stabilization chamber and analysis portion of the system is monitored. The invention makes it possible to produce a steady stream of liquid-gas aerosol with variable liquid phase dispersivity and also to observe and analyze said stream using visual, optical and other methods.

The present disclosure provides an airplane ground deicing installation that minimizes the impact of deicing operations on the airport during icing conditions. The installation does not require alteration of a normal taxi pattern and can be performed as quickly as the average separation time between take-offs. The installation allows modification of its shape to adapt to the contour of almost all types of commercial passengers airplanes operating from major airports, and simultaneously deices large surfaces of the airplane. Deicing and anti-icing fluids are applied to airplane surfaces from nozzles positioned in close proximity to the airplane's surface. Speed and adaptability to different types of airplanes, combined with a design that allows rapid relocation of the installation, are key features that make it possible to place the installation on the taxiway, close to the head of the runway it serves, such that the taxi pattern and the separation in between takeoffs are not altered as compared to the normal operations of the airport.

A apparatus for delivering a predetermined quantity of content from a pressurized container includes a dispensing assembly which sits on the container and connects with an upper portion of a valve stem of the valve assembly, wherein the dispensing assembly includes a) an actuator cap having a discharge passage, which is open or obstructed and wherein the actuator cap acts as a metering chamber in combination with b) an adaptor which fits inside the cap and also snuggly engages the valve stem. The cap fits snuggly over the adjuster to define a metering chamber which depending on its position can close off the metered chamber or open it to the dispensing conduit \ nozzle. When the cap is depressed it pushes down on the adjuster which depresses the valve. The chamber fills, but nothing is released until the upstroke.

Multi-component liquid spray system including a shim having a first array of first passages and a second array of second passages are described. When the shim is positioned between the first and second die portions of a housing, a first array of first liquid conduits and a second array of second liquid conduits are formed. The first array of first liquid conduits and second array of second liquid conduits are aligned such that at least one of the second liquid conduits is interspersed between successive first liquid conduits. Methods of making such spray systems and methods of using them to produce both multi-component sprays and coated articles are also described.

Der Erfindung liegt die Aufgabe zugrunde, eine Möglichkeit zu schaffen, durch welche die zur Verdünnung des Wirkstoffes des Behandlungsmittels erforderliche Flüssigkeitsmenge minimiert werden kann, weiterhin ein Verfahren zur schnellen Erzeugung eines sehr beständigen Aerosols mit sehr unterschiedlichen Flüssigkeitsanteilen bis zu einem flüssigkeitsfreien Aerosol mit einer langen Schwebedauer und dazugehörige Düsen und Vorrichtung zur Durchführung der Verfahren insbesondere für die Schädlingsbekämpfung, den Pflanzenschutz, die Desinfektion und die Düngung zu schaffen, die die unterschiedlichsten Aerosolmedien in Pulverform oder in flüssiger Form in nahezu gleichgroße, feinste Aerosolpartikel mit einer langen Schwebedauer verteilen kann. Es wird ein Verfahren zum Mischen von Behandlungsmittel mit Luft oder anderen Gasen oder Gasgemischen und zum Sprühen der Luft- oder Gas -Behandlungsmittel -Mischung und ein Verfahren zur schnellen Erzeugung eines sehr beständigen Aerosols mit der dazugehörigen Vorrichtung und entsprechender Düsen vorgeschlagen. Das Einsatzgebiet der Erfindung liegt auf dem Gebiet des Pflanzenschutzes, der Schädlingsbekämpfung und ähnlicher Fachbereiche.
