Abstract:
An embossed multiple ply paper product and process for producing such product displaying aesthetically pleasing decorative attributes and exhibiting functional characteristics of softness, absorbency, and drape. The decorative attributes comprise embossed patterns of indicia displaying a high quality cloth-like appearance for a softer, more quilted look. The plies are joined in a face-to-face arrangement by selective bonds which are limited to the indicia, in order to produce more permanent decorative figures that inhibit dissipation caused by compressive forces, humidity, absorption, etc.
Abstract:
The description relates to a device for embossing and laminating a multiple-web web material, comprising: a first and a second embossing cylinder (1, 3), provided with tips (1P, 3P), said two embossing cylinders being arranged with parallel and adjacent axes so as to form a nip (G) between them; a pair of pressure rolls (5, 7), each of which cooperates with one of the embossing cylinders; an adhesive applicator (17) associated with the first embossing cylinder; and a laminating roll (13) arranged downstream of the nip (G) between the embossing cylinders (1, 3) and cooperating with the first embossing cylinder (1). It is also envisaged that the planes (P3, P5) containing the axis (1A, 3A) of each embossing cylinder (1, 3) and the axis (5A, 7A) of the corresponding pressure roll (5, 7) are both inclined with respect to the plane (P2) containing the axes (1A, 3A) of the embossing cylinders at an angle ( alpha , alpha ') different from 0 DEG and 90 DEG ; and that the angle formed by the plane (P3) containing the axis (1A) of the first embossing cylinder (1) and the axis (5A) of respective pressure roll (5) with the plane (P2) containing the axes (1A, 3A) of the two embossing cylinders (1, 3) and directed towards said nip is greater than 90 DEG . Moreover, the two embossing cylinders (1, 3) may be phase-synchronized with each other so as to achieve operation using the "tip-to-tip" or "nested" technique.
Abstract:
A machine for embossing, including at least one pair of embossing nips for plies of paper, at least one laminating nip to bond the plies of paper, a pair of embossing cylinders, each having on its surface a respective plurality of embossing protrusions, each defining a wrap angle for the at least one ply of paper, and defining therebetween a transfer nip, a pair of pressure cylinders, each associated with a respective one of the embossing cylinder, the embossing nip being defined between each pair formed of embossing cylinder and pressure cylinder, a laminating device for bonding the plies delivered from the transfer nip, at least one distribution device of material to facilitate ply-bonding arranged upstream of the laminating device, and at least one heating device for at least one of the embossing cylinders.
Abstract:
The cellulose product comprises at least a first ply of embossed cellulose material and a second ply of embossed cellulose material, glued together. The first ply comprises: a first series of embossing protuberances with a first height (H′1) and a top surface to which a glue is applied which bonds the first ply and the second ply to one another; a second series of micro-embossing protuberances with a second height (H′2) lower than the first height (H′1); a third series of micro-embossing protuberances with a third height (H′3) lower than the second height (H′2). The protuberances of the first series are distributed over areas of the first ply, where the micro-embossing protuberances of the second series and the micro-embossing protuberances of the third series are absent.
Abstract:
The embossing unit includes in combination: a first support for a first embossing roller and a second support for a first pressure roller, cooperating with the first embossing roller. The second support presents two seats to receive and support the first pressure roller in two different positions with respect to this support. The embossing unit also includes a third support for a second embossing roller. The third support can take at least two different operating positions. A fourth support is provided to support a second pressure roller suitable to cooperate with the second embossing roller and suitable to take at least an operating position and an idle position. Finally, there is provided a fifth support with a double seat to receive and support in two different positions alternatively a marrying roll or the second pressure roller.
Abstract:
An electronic device includes an enclosure, a driving device attached to the enclosure, a first rotating member, and a second rotating member. The first rotating member includes a relief member. The second rotating member includes an intaglio member corresponding to the relief member. The first rotating member and the second rotating member are attached to the driving device and can be rotated by the driving device, to move a paper between the first rotating member and a second rotating member. The relief member is engaged with the intaglio member to emboss a pattern on the paper.
Abstract:
The disclosure relates an apparatus and method for assembling at least two webs of tissue paper with or without marking of the webs. The apparatus and method utilize a multi-marrying roller configuration, which allows for assembling of the at least two webs of tissue paper by passing between the marrying roller and the second marrying roller. The apparatus and method make it possible to produce a conventional embossed product, or a smooth product without marking, having combined plies. In addition, the apparatus and method make it possible to easily move from one production mode to the other.

Abstract:
An embossing assembly for sheet material includes at least two embossing rollers, the ends of which are rotatably mounted in the side panels of an embossing machine. Each of the side panels is divided into a fixed portion and at least one movable portion. The ends of the embossing rollers are mounted in supports which are removably fixed in seats formed in the fixed portions of the side panels or in the movable portions of the side panels of the machine. In this manner, when the movable portions of side panels are moved with respect to the fixed portions of side panels, a space is cleared for removal of at least a portion of the embossing roller supports.
Abstract:
The device comprises: a first embossing unit (3) with a first embossing roller (5) equipped with a first series of protuberances (5P); a second embossing unit (13) with a second embossing roller (15) equipped with a second series of protuberances (15P) of greater height and lesser density with respect to the protuberances of said first series, said protuberances defining decorative motifs; a glue dispenser (19) associated with said second embossing roller, to apply a glue to a first ply (V1) embossed by said first and said second embossing unit at the protuberances of said second embossing roller; a laminating member (21) associated with said second embossing roller to apply a second ply (V2) to the first ply. At least a printing unit (9), which applies an ink to said first ply (V1) at the protuberances of the first embossing roller, is associated with the first embossing roller (5).
