Abstract:
In a tray conveyor for conveying trays carrying spinning bobbins and the like thereon, an elastic member of convex cross section is mounted on the opposite side of a surface of a conveyor belt for conveying trays vertically, extending in the direction of travel of the conveyor.
Abstract:
A cop selecting and conveying apparatus for an automatic winder in which winding units are divided into a plurality of winding sections and different kinds of cops carried on carrying mediums are transferred on the conveying passage to each of the winding sections. A indicia is formed in either the carrying medium or the guide member at the side of the conveying passage and a device for discriminating or detecting the discrimination indicia is disposed at a position to corresponding to the indicia.
Abstract:
A rotary puck conveying, accumulating and qualifying mechanism for accommodating articles of various sizes. A puck is provided having a predetermined outer peripheral surface and including an article retaining aperture disposed therein. The article retaining aperture being of a predetermined shape for accommodating an outer peripheral surface of an article being handled. A centrifugal feeder is provided for supplying a plurality of articles to an outer peripheral rim. A rotating table accumulates the pucks in both a full and an empty condition. The rotating table is operatively disposed beneath the centrifugal feeder wherein outer peripheral surfaces of the centrifugal feeder and the rotating table overlap. A plurality of pockets are rotatably disposed below the centrifugal feeder for engaging pucks positioned on the rotating table for retaining the pucks in a predetermined location relative to the centrifugal feeder for supplying articles into the aperture in the puck over an extended length of transfer. A qualifying doctor blade is operatively positioned relative to the rotating table for separating the pucks which contain an article from empty pucks. The full pucks are transported to a predetermined location while the empty pucks are returned to the rotating table for resupply to the pockets for receiving an article to be processed.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus for transporting vulnerable products such as eggs, along successive stations and handling the same therein, each product at the beginning of the handling cycle being received separately in a container that is freely moveable in at least one direction during a part of the handling cycle, and being removed therefrom after the handling cycle. The container may be open at the top, narrowing towards the bottom, e.g. according to a truncated cone, and further comprising a foot extending perpendicularly to the container axis, the outer circumference of the foot being at least equal to the outer circumference of the upper edge of the container.
Abstract:
The arrangement conveys cans which deliver and receive textile material, between machines delivering such material and machines which are substantially of the same type but use such material, along a closed transport or conveying path. The conveying path is of a structure comprising sections which extend parallel to each other including a siphon-shaped stand-by section containing parallel legs. Using such sections there is rendered possible a space-saving arrangement and simultaneously ready accessibility to the different sections of the conveying path and the machines for operating the machines and eliminating faults and malfunctions at the machines and the sections of the conveying path.
Abstract:
A cop supplying truck which runs along the individual winding units of an automatic winding machine is provided. The cop supplying truck travels while storing the cops accomodated in an individual cylindrical cop container and feeds the cops into a magazine of a winding unit without stopping at the individual winding units. The cop supplying truck is provided with a hole through which the cop falls onto the magazine. The cops are travelled and fed by means of a first conveyer device which works to successively convey the cop containers toward the falling hole, a device which takes one of the cop container while the cop supplying truck passes over the empty magazine, and a second conveyer device which so works that a cop in the taken-out cop container is only allowed to fall into the magazine through the falling hole.
Abstract:
Centrifugal feeders, particularly a method of transporting singulated parts from the periphery of a centrifugal feeder. The method includes vertically orienting while supporting the parts in nests or notches defined at the periphery of the feeder, advancing the parts away from said supporting and dropping the parts into individual containers or pucks which are transported tangentially away from the centrifugal feeder. The method is characterized by its capability of high speed singulation of parts into any desired matrix.
