Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image-bearing member protecting agent which can achieve a sufficient protecting effect on the surface of an image-bearing member, prevention of filming on the image-bearing member, and prevention of smearing on a charging member, and to provide a protective layer forming device which can form an excellent protective layer for image-bearing member using the image-bearing member protecting agent. SOLUTION: The image-bearing member protecting agent to be used for an image forming method or an image forming apparatus including an image-bearing member 1 and a step or a device 2 for applying or adhering the image-bearing member protecting agent 21 to the surface of the image-bearing member, includes at least: a hydrophobic organic compound (A); an inorganic lubricant (B); and inorganic fine particles (C), wherein each of the inorganic fine particles (C) has a specific surface area of 2.0 to 6.5 m 2 /g. The protective layer forming device 2 includes at least an image-bearing member protecting agent 21 and a protecting agent supply member 22, and supplies the image-bearing member protecting agent 21 to the surface of the image-bearing member 1 via the protecting agent supply member 22. Abstract:
An aqueous lubricant used for plastic working of metallic material which comprises (A) a water soluble inorganic salt, (B) lubricative agent selected from molybdenum disulfide and graphite and (C) wax, wherein the components are dissolved or dispersed in water, and wherein a concentration ratio (weight ratio) of (B) /(A) is in the range of 1.0 SIMILAR 5.0 and (C) / (A) is 0.1 SIMILAR 1. 0. And a method of lubricative film processing on a metallic material, in that the lubricative film formed by applying the aqueous lubricant is in a dried weight of 0.5 SIMILAR 40g/m . A water soluble inorganic salt (A) is preferably selected from the group consisting of a sulfate, a silicate, a borate, a molybdete and a tungstate. The wax (C) is preferably a natural wax or a synthetic wax which is dispersed in water and has a melting point of 70 SIMILAR 150 DEG C. The aqueous lubricant can be used for imparting excellent lubricity with ease to the surface of a metal having no chemical conversion layer formed thereon.
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a protective film treating agent capable of forming, by a simple method for attaching it to the surface of a metallic material and then drying, a film having excellent seizing resistance and excellent rust prevention which are equal to or higher than the film formed by a chemical treatment method. SOLUTION: The protective film treating agent is obtained by incorporating an alkali silicate to be represented by the formula: M 2 O.nSiO 2 [wherein n is a number of 2-9; and M is at least one kind of Na, K, Li, and NR 4 (wherein R is an alkyl group)] into water. The incorporation of a lubricating component into this protective film treating agent can impart excellent self-lubrication performance to a film. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO

Abstract:
The production of solid lubricant agglomerates by combining solid lubricant powder, an inorganic binder, other fillers if optionally desired, and a liquid to form a mixture, and driving off the liquid to form dry agglomerates which are subsequently classified by size or milled and classified by size to yield agglomerates of a desired size range. These agglomerates are then treated to stabilize the binder, thereby strengthening the binder and rendering it nondispersible in the liquid. The undesired size ranges can be readily recycled because the agglomerates with untreated binder can be reprocessed, thereby promoting high recovery rates.
