Abstract:
A set of pavers for paving an area. Each paver comprises: a first side surface generally coincident with a first side of an imaginary rectangle; a second side surface generally perpendicular to the first side surface and generally coincident with a second side of the imaginary rectangle; a third side surface opposite and generally parallel to the first side surface and generally coincident with a third side of the imaginary rectangle, the first side surface being shorter than the third side of the imaginary rectangle; a fourth side surface opposite and generally parallel to the second side surface and generally coincident with a fourth side of the imaginary rectangle, the fourth side surface being shorter than the second side of the imaginary rectangle; a female side surface extending from the first side surface to the fourth side surface and delimiting a cutout extending inwardly from a corner of the imaginary rectangle; and a male side surface complementary to the female side surface and extending from the second side surface to the third side surface. The pavers are installable in a pattern in which the male side surface of one of the pavers registers with the female side surface of an adjacent one of the pavers. Other sets of blocks, such as wall blocks for constructing walls, can be designed in a similar manner.

Abstract:
Abstract:
Abstract:
The invention relates to horizontally and vertically linked paving stones (10). According to the invention, projections (18) and recesses (19) are provided in the area of the bottom part (16) of the paving stones (10) used for a paved surface in order to link said paving stones horizontally and vertically. These projections and recesses engage with each other with a positive fit so as to interlock adjacent stones in a horizontal and vertical direction. The paving stones (10) are characterised in that the width of the joints (32) formed between adjacent paving stones (10) increases in a downward direction so as to form a gap which diverges downwards. This means that the material used for filling the joints can be introduced efficiently and reliably as far as the underside.
Abstract:
A paving stone kit for forming a closed-surface paving stone composite with linear outer delimitations (2, 3, 2', 3') and at least right-angled corners (4, 5) consists of a foundation stone (1) in the form of a regular hexagon, and of filler and/or compensation stones of various forms of contour, which coincide at least in the length of one edge or in at least one corner angle. The filling and/or compensation stones (1', 11, 12, 13, 15, 17, 20, 21, 23, 24, 24') have only corner angles (7, 7') equal to or more than 90 DEG , and have at least one edge, the length of which corresponds to the basic length (8) of the edges of the foundation stone (1), to half a basic length (8'), or to the opening width (9), or a fraction thereof (9', 9'', 9'''), of the foundation stone (1). Upon arranging an obtuse angle (7') in the middle opposite an edge, the length of which is greater than the basic length (8), the edges bordering this edge each have the basic length (8).
Abstract:
A paving block (1) which incorporates a rigid base section (2) having upper and lower surfaces, a plurality of tiles (3, 4, 5) each having upper and lower faces, and bonding agent (6) which extends from the base section (2) in gaps (10, 10a) between the tiles. The said tiles (3, 4, 5) are affixed to the base section (2) and the bonding agent (6) extends from the base section to a level between the lower and upper faces of the respective tiles. Also disclosed is a method of manufacturing such a paving block in a mould, wherein the gaps (10, 10a) between the tiles (3, 4, 5) are partially filled with a non-adhesive filler before the bonding agent (6) is introduced into the mould.
Abstract:
The proposal is for a set of paving stones for the production of circular and longitudinal layouts in paving in gardens and the like. In order to provide a plurality of patterns in straight and curved paving, paving stones with convex sides are used which are set out in a predetermined modular dimension. A flat finish in both laying and transport is provided by polygonal areas (17) on the side walls providing a flat surface when laid straight or curved.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a stone bond made of stones having various cross-sectional shapes and/or sizes that are arranged next to one another, wherein the stone bond comprises a plurality of stone types, which essentially have the same height, and wherein one stone type has a predetermined length, a predetermined width and a predetermined cross-sectional shape. The stone bond is characterized in that the stone bond comprises stone types of the following categories: a) stone types (4S, 8S, 9S, 51S, 52S, 58S) the cross-sectional shape of which is designed laterally reversed to the cross-sectional shape of another stone type (4N, 8N, 9N, 51N, 52N, 58N) of the stone bond; b) at least one stone type (5N, 1N, 1IS, 1rN, 54N) which is one of a kind, and c) at least one stone type (1IS, 1rN) the cross-sectional shape of which essentially corresponds to one half, or a laterally reversed half, of the cross-sectional shape of a stone type (1N) of category a) or b); and a group of stones of the aforementioned stone types defines an installation unit, which is preferably delimited by an imaginary rectangle.
Abstract:
Systems and methods for a permeable pavement system are described. The permeable pavement system includes blocks designed to facilitate water seepage between the blocks and to permit water storage within the blocks. The blocks may be cabled together to create paving units that facilitate installation and maintenance of the pavement, system. The permeable pavement system may also be heated to a predetermined range with one of electrical energy and hydronic heating.
