Abstract:
A paving stone that can be laid in one or more open patterns, permitting water to drain through areas in the formed ground cover, is provided. The stone has six interlocking multifaced side surfaces, three on a concave part of the stone and three on a convex part of the stone, that interlock with complimentary side surfaces of adjacent stones, and has eight corner side surfaces that bound and define the shape of drainage areas. Each of the drainage areas is surrounded by identical interlocking stones. In the preferred embodiment, the multifaced surfaces of each of the parts are identical so that the stones can be laid interchangeably at any place in a runner bond or herringbone pattern. The faces of the multifaced side surfaces of the stones are preferably planar and form V-shaped interlocking surfaces.
Abstract:
Modular interlocking paving elements of uniform configuration are provided each in the form of a substantially right angular body bounded peripherally by two outer sides meeting at an outer angle apex, two inner sides meeting at an inner angle apex and two front sides each extending between respective ends of an inner side and an outer side, with dummy joint gaps formed in and extending across the top side of the body each from the inner angle apex to a midpoint of one of the outer sides. The inner sides, front sides, half sections of outer sides and dummy gaps are of substantially the same length, and each has longitudinal portions thereof projecting outside and/or recessed inside a straight base line between the ends thereof, so that the top side of each element appears to be composed of three four-sided elemental units disposed side by side and two or more of the elements will interlock laterally yet present the same surface appearance in any of a variety of side-by-side orientations. The projection/recess configuration preferably is constituted by oblique surface portions alternating in direction. The dummy gaps form predetermined breaking regions along which an element upon being overloaded will break preferentially, thus preserving both its top side appearance and an interlocking relationship. The elements are particularly suitable for being arranged in groups that can be lifted, transported and laid as units by mechanical laying apparatus.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a curved like paving stone element for setting of a curved paving, characterized in that the curved element is limited by an outer circular curve having a radius and an inner circular curve having the same radius with the center points of the circular curves disposed on a radial straight at a distance from each other corresponding to the largest width of the curved element. The curved element consists of two outer stones and a center stone of about the same curvature length, where the outer stones are separated into three individual stones by means of non-continuous separating joints and the center stone is separated into either two or three individual stones. The curved element is asymmetrically offset with respect to the radial straight in such a manner that the outer edge of an outer stone is smaller than the opposite outer edge of the other outer stone and the size of this difference corresponds to about the width of the stone with the smaller outer edge.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a composite paving structure consisting of elements forming a pattern. The structure is made up of laying units each of which has a group of elements adjoining at their respective peripheries and held together by predetermined rupture zones. Supplementing stones are disposed at the boundaries of adjacent units. The stones have one or more elements and extend, in each case, into recesses in both of two adjacent units. Preferably, the stones are of one shape and the pattern is a herringbone pattern. The units may be offset relative to one another in the herringbone pattern.
Abstract:
A paving element includes upper and lower surfaces and one or more drainage channels extending through the paving element between the upper and lower surfaces. The drainage channels include a substantially concave or cupule shaped upper portion, provided on the upper surface of the paving element, and a channel from the concave portion through to the lower surface of the bottom surface of the paving element. The drainage channels can be complete, when provided in the interior of the paving element, or partial, when provided along the sides or perimeter of the paving element. The partial channels are completed when the paving element is placed adjacent another paving element when forming a pavement. The drainage channels are adapted to facilitate the cleaning process of the channels.
Abstract:
Disclosed is a multifunctional synthetic resin block for roads. The synthetic resin block includes a water permeable sheet configured as a synthetic resin block having a flat sheet shape so as to be laid on a ground, a block frame configured as a synthetic resin body taking a form of a rectangular frame, which is divided into multiple rectangular areas each having open top and bottom sides, so as to be installed on the upper surface of the water permeable sheet, the rectangular areas being filled with filler stones, and multiple corrugated plates each configured as a synthetic resin having a rectangular plate shape and arranged so that corrugations thereof are oriented perpendicular to each other so as to cover the rectangular areas of the block frame. The synthetic resin block provides almost all functions, such as a rainwater retention function, water permeation function, and anti-slippage function, at low cost.
Abstract:
The present set of inventions relates to the field of building and in particular to building constructions and to processes for manufacturing building constructions comprising tensioned and non-tensioned tendons and can be used to construct residential, public and office buildings and constructions as well as for reconditioning or restoring the same. The technical result consists of the provision of relatively long-extended constructions or complicated shape constructions working as a single pre-tensioned construction and characterized by high carrying capacity, stability and rigidity.Said technical result is obtained by the fact that in a multi-component building member comprising at least two components and pre-tensioned tendons, each component is made as a tendons module comprising an initial and a final supporting elements with holes for the pre-tensioned tendons and with a stand for placing anchors and tensioning arrangements; and a reinforcing cage located between said supporting elements and comprising an upper and a lower elements in the form of a grid with a cellular structure, the cells having the shape of an equilateral polyhedron, and at least one median element under the form of a space reinforcement structure comprising inclined reinforcement bars forming equilateral polyhedral pyramids oppositely oriented in space, the pre-tensioned tendons of the first component being anchored at the initial and final supporting elements of the same, the pre-tensioned tendons of each following component being anchored at the final elements of the previous and the current components.Said technical result is obtained as well by the fact that in a process for assembling the multi-component building member, the median, the upper and the lower components of the tendons module are preassembled, attached between the initial and the final supporting elements, the tendons are inserted and then pre-tensioned, wherein, starting with the second tendons module of the construction, the anchor of the pre-tensioned tendons is mounted on the final supporting element of the previous tendons module, whereas a tensioning arrangement is mounted on the final supporting element of the pre-tensioned tendons module.
Abstract:
A paving machine for reducing transition marks in a mat. The paving machine may comprise a frame, a tow arm, a screed assembly, a sensor and a controller. The screed assembly includes a main screed plate and an extension plate. The main screed plate is configured to pave a first surface section of the mat. The extension plate includes an extension trailing edge having an inner end. The extension plate is configured to pave a second surface section of the mat. The sensor is configured to sense transition marks in the mat proximal to an intersection between the first and second surface sections and to transmit data indicative of such to the controller. The controller may be configured to determine from the data received from the sensor when the inner end is disposed above or below the first plane, and move the inner end to the first plane.
Abstract:
A heatable pathway system for traffic comprises a first module having a first electrically powerable heater member and a second module having a second electrically powerable heater member. The first module and the second module are each installable in place to form a heatable pathway system for traffic.
