Abstract:
The invention relates to a textile structure element (1), having textile stretch elements (11, 12, 13, 61, 62) and integrated textile support elements (21, 41), wherein, in places, the stretch elements (11, 12, 13) and the support elements (21, 22) are interconnected and allow, at least in part, a spatial expansion of at least one fillable stretch element and/or support element.
Abstract:
An inflatable structure for use as a spray tan booth, the structure including an inflatable support assembly which defines a pair of opposed sides and a front, the inflatable support assembly including a valve which is connectable to a source of compressed air and having an erect configuration and a collapsed configuration; a pair of opposed side wall elements supported by the support assembly and a floor element located between the side wall elements, wherein, in the erect configuration, the front defines an opening which provides unimpeded access into the structure, and wherein the inflatable support assembly comprises a material which is gas permeable, whereby a constant supply of compressed air is necessary to maintain the assembly in an erect configuration.
Abstract:
A structure which is transformable by inflation from a collapsed condition for storage to an erect condition for use has an inflatable tubular framework and at least one flexible web attached to and extending between two or more regions of the framework. The inflatable framework is formed by at least one inner inflatable tubular element (A, B) of flexible, elastic, air-impermeable material and having an inflation valve (13,15) accommodated within an outer sleeve arrangement of a material which is flexible but substantially non- elastic and restrained therein upon inflation. The outer sleeve arrangement is configured to include at least one branch point and/or at least one abrupt bend and the configuration of the inner tubular element or elements (A, B) corresponds to that (branch points (a, b) and abrupt bends (z)) so that the inner tube or tubes will substantially fill the outer sleeve arrangement upon inflation. Each inner tube (A, B) is formed by cutting and bonding of the air-impermeable material to provide a continuous inflatabie compartment of relevant configuration and is inserted through an opening in the outer sleeve arrangement and fed through so as to fill it when later inflated in use.
Abstract:
A backpack (160) with an air frame (162). The backpack includes a storage compartment, an air frame (162), and at least one strap (168) for securing the bag to a person. The air frame (162) includes an air bladder, which stiffens as it is inflated. The air frame (162) may include portions that are individually inflatable, and a pump (26) may be included for inflating the air frame (162). The backpack (160) may include inflatable portions (22) designed to provide support to specific portions of a user's body.
Abstract:
Dome-shaped roofing composed of a number of adjoining roofing sections. Each roofing section is approximately trapezoidal when it is not in the erect position. Gastight ducts extend from the opposite corners. When these ducts are pressurized and anchored in the ground or the like, an arch-shaped roofing section is produced. This arch shape may be promoted further by making the reinforcing material of the ducts, and more particularly the longitudinal fibres thereof, of different lengths, resulting in a prefabricated curvature of the ducts.
Abstract:
A boom structure deployed by inflating the structure to a desired shape and rigidizing the structure via an external influence. The structure frame has a series of frame members which are made of a fibrous material and a resin material. This frame is encased in between a pair of membrane layers, an inner membrane inflatable to move the frame into its desired shape and an outer membrane that allows for folding the structure. Following inflation of the inner layer, an external influence acts on the resin material to solidify it, and render the structure rigid. The external influence may also act on the resin material to soften it when it is already rigid, to allow for collapsing and folding of the structure.
Abstract:
Abstract:
Apparatus for displaying a visual image includes a device (10) having an inflatable main body (14) and a base portion (12). The main body (14) is formed from tubular members (17) which define a predetermined shape when inflated, providing at least one display face for displaying a visual image. The base portion (12) stabilises the device (10).
Abstract:
The invention relates to a folding shelter comprising a load bearing structure (1) that can be covered by a tarpaulin (2), in addition to at least two booms (51, ...,5n) that can move in relation to each other along two substantially parallel guide paths (6). Each boom (51, ...,5n) is comprised of an elastically deformable rib (10).
