The invention relates to a door drive mechanism (1), especially a revolving door drive mechanism. Said drive mechanism comprises a drive unit (2), coupled to the door via an output shaft (9) and arranged in a housing (13), a motor (3), functionally linked with the drive unit (2), and a spring energy storage device (4) housed in the housing (13) and coupled to the motor (3) and the drive unit (2). The invention is characterized in that a hydraulic pump (5) in the form of a proportional piston pump is functionally linked with the motor (3) and hydraulically linked with a first hydraulic compartment (6) associated with the drive unit (2) and with a separate second pressure compartment (7) associated with the spring energy storage device (4). The drive mechanism is further provided with a hydraulic damping device that is arranged between a receiving compartment for the drive unit (2) and an intermediate space of the housing (13) adjoining the second pressure compartment (7).

The invention realises a safety device (1) for automatic control for the opening of skylights comprising: a valve body (2) with which a thermosensitive bulb (4), a bomb (10) containing pressurised gas for feeding the actuator of the opening of the skylight and a solenoid (20) whose movable element (21) cooperates with blocking means (3) of said bulb (4), are connected. A piston (6) coupled in said valve body (2) is supplied with a pin (7) suitable for piercing the membrane (12) which intercepts the delivery mouth (11) of said bomb (10) in order to feed said actuator when said movable element (21) releases said bulb (4).

Eine Vorrichtung zum selbsttätigen Öffnen einer um eine horizontale Schwenkachse (5) schwenkbaren Kraftfahrzeug-Heckklappe (2) enthält eine derart ausgelegt Gasfeder-Auswerfer-Kombination, daß die Gasfeder (8) auf die Klappe (2) im geschlossenen bis zu einem teilgeöffneten Zustand ein Schließmoment, darüber ein die Klappe (2) voll öffnendes Öffnungsmoment ausübt, während der Auswerfer (9) nur zum Verschwenken der Klappe (2) etwas über den teilgeöffneten Zustand hinaus ausgelegt ist. Dadurch sind der Energiebedarf des Auswerfers (9) minimal und hohe Reibkräfte im Klappenschloß (6) vermieden.

The invention realizes an apparatus for smoke evacuation (1) comprising: a basement (2) which defines an opening (3) made in a building; a cover (4) co-operating in opening and closing actions with said basement (2); moving means (6) for the rotation of said cover (4); hooking means (7) suited to block said cover (4) in the closing position; a mechanical lock (8) suited to block said cover (4) in position of maximum opening; a release device (150) which through remote control means, releases said mechanical lock (8), before that said moving means (6) begin the closing of said cover (4).

A pneumatic cylinder for actuating fume extraction valves in fume and heat extraction plants has a piston (2) that may be actuated from both sides with at least one working surface and that can be made to slide by pressurised air in a cylinder (1) with at least one working chamber (4), as well as an energy accumulator with regulating means. The regulating means can be controlled by control means to open or keep open the fume extraction valves. In order to obtain a compact pneumatic cylinder for a fume and heat extraction plant which is easy to install, a storage chamber in which air or pressurised air is stored as compressible pressure medium is provided as energy accumulator. The storage chamber is in communication with a compression surface (7) of the piston (2), at its side opposite to the working surface (7), so that pressure medium may flow between the storage chamber and the compression surface (7). The controller actuates a venting valve in communication with the working chamber (4) so that pressurised air may flow between the venting valve and the working chamber (4).

A pneumatic device (10) comprises a piston (12) moveable along a cylinder (10). The piston has opposite ends (18, 26) defining a space (30) therebetween. The space is divided into two chambers (30a, 30b) by a housing (40) fixed relative to the cylinder and having a fluid flow control passageway (42) therethrough. The space (30) is filled with fluid, such as oil. The piston (12) is arranged such that movement thereof against a spring (16) causes the fluid to be displaced from one chamber (30a) of the space (30) to the other chamber (30b) through the passageway (42). The spring (16) is arranged to apply a return force to the piston (12) and the rate of return of the piston (12) is controlled by the return flow of fluid through the passageway (42). A pneumatic system (100) includes a device (10) connected between first and second members (58, 58a) of a building, such as a door and door frame. The pneumatic system comprises a source of compressed gas (C) for operating the device (10) to enable the device (10) to move the first member (58) relative to the second member (58a), i.e. to open and close the door. A switching device (72) controls the supply of compressed gas to the device (10).

A hot gas and fume venting device comprising a shutter (1) that is pivoted about a horizontal axis (A) to close a skylight-like opening (3), including a supporting beam (4), which is fixed across the opening (3) at right angles to the pivoting axis, and a telescopic jack (6), in which the outer cylinder is articulated to the beam (4) about an axis that lies parallel to the pivoting axis (A) and the innermost cylinder is articulately coupled to a point of the shutter; the jack (6) is positively extendable by means of compressed gas contained in a bottle (39) that is controlled by a smoke and/or hot gas sensor (40) to rotate the shutter (1) from a closed position into an open position, and the jack (6) is provided with a hydraulic shock absorber to allow the controlled descent of the shutter beyond the 90 o opening position until it reaches the stop position.

According to an illustrative example of the invention a cylinder piston device (13) is provided for positioning a door or flap of a motor vehicle in a selected position. The cylinder piston device (13) comprises two working chambers (27,27') which are interconnected by a flow path. A valve (37) is provided in this flow path for opening or closing this flow path and for thereby permitting or avoiding relative movement of a cylinder (13) and a piston rod (19). The valve is controlled by electric actuating means. The actuating means may be initiated by an impetus onto the door.
