This invention relates to a portable temperature controlled container comprising a body having a storage compartment, an opening to permit access to the storage compartment and an insulated lid. The container comprises a fan, a heat sink and a thermoelectric device, as well as a first phase change material and a thermoelectric device in thermal communication with both the first phase change material and the storage compartment. The thermoelectric device in thermal communication with both the first phase change material and the storage compartment is operable to remove energy in the form of heat from one of the storage compartment and the first phase change material and transfer that energy in the form of heat to the other of the storage compartment and the first phase change material. In this way, the device will require less power, be highly robust, will operate across a range of temperatures, and will be cost effective to manufacture.

A refrigerator and a manufacturing method thereof including processes of separately manufacturing partitions dividing a storage space into a plurality of storage chambers from a main body including an inner casing and an outer casing, coupling the partitions to an inner surface of the inner casing, filling a space between the inner casing and the partitions with an insulator, and filling the partitions with the insulator by filling a space between the inner casing and the outer casing with the insulator. Since the insulator uniformly fills the partitions dividing the storage space into the plurality of storage chambers, the partitions may possess improved insulating qualities.

Die Erfindung betrifft eine Raumzelle, bestehend aus zwischen einer Bodenplatte (1) und einer Deckplatte (2) angeordneten, vorgefertigten, die Wände (W) der Zelle bildenden Wandbauelementen (3), die aus Deckblechen (4,5) bestehen, zwischen denen eine Wärmedämmung (6) angeordnet ist. Davon ausgehend ist für die Raumzelle erfindungswesentlich, daß die Wände (W) der Zelle jeweils aus mindestens zwei vertikal bis auf Höhe (H) der Zelle aufeinander steckbaren Wandbauelementen (3) gebildet sind, daß die vertikalen Stirnflächen (9) der Wandbauelemente (3) mit zelleninnen- und zellenaußenseitigen, mit den Rändern der Bodenplatte (1) oder einem Zellengrundrahmen (1') verbindbaren Verbindungsprofilen (8) Hohlräume (10) begrenzen, daß die Verbindungsprofile (8) mit den Deckblechen (4,5) der Wandbauelemente (3) verschraubt sind und daß die Hohlräume (10) mit einer Schüttung (11) aus wärmedämmenden Material verfüllt sind.
