Abstract:
In an electronic imaging apparatus, image information of an image signal photoelectrically converted from an image incident is stored in image information storing means in a format dependent upon a type of the applied storage device. Provided therein are communication means for transmitting and/or receiving image information generated in this apparatus or the other equivalent apparatuses while an operation mode of the apparatus is set for communication and switch means for causing the communication means to start a communication mode operation.
Abstract:
A digital camera reduces the possibility that a user's release operation is disabled and performs photographing operations at the appropriate times. The digital camera (1) can load a memory card (40a) and a magnetic disk card (40b) as a plurality of recording media, wherein a CPU (17) can independently make accesses to the memory card (40a) and the magnetic disk card (40b). The CPU (17) performs a plurality of tasks in parallel, whereby a captured image is recorded on either one of the memory card (40a) and the magnetic disk card (40b) while predetermined processing is performed on the other. In such a configuration, a captured image which is stored in image memory (21) through a photographing operation can be recorded at an early stage on one of the recording media. This enables continuous photographing and the like even in such a condition that recording on a recording medium which is selected as a subject of recording is not allowed.
Abstract:
An apparatus and control method thereof, for backing-up image data recorded in an image pickup apparatus and for managing the backed-up image data, is arranged as follows. A flash memory stores picked-up image data, and an electric power detection circuit of a cradle activates an electric power circuit to power the cradle, when detecting connection with electric power connectors. An LCD display device displays thereon a cradle operating menu screen, and when an item of data backup is selected, a CPU forms a folder on a backup HDD and retrieves a new captured image from among image data stored in the flash memory to copy the retrieved image into the folder formed on the HDD. An image conversion circuit thins out the image data to form image data of a size corresponding to the number of display dots of the LCD display device and stores the thinned-out image data in the flash memory.
Abstract:
Memory cards are respectively set in first and second slots to take a moving image. A memory controller records image data, which is produced from the taken image, in the memory card of the first slot. When available memory of this memory card runs out, the data is continuously recorded in the switched memory card of the second slot. While recording the data in the memory card of the second slot, the memory card of the first slot is exchanged to another one having available memory. When the available memory of the memory card of the second slot runs out, the data is continuously recorded in the switched memory card of the first slot again. Switching the slot and exchanging the memory card are alternately performed so that the moving image may be taken for a long time.
Abstract:
The present invention provides a print-setting device whose user interface is favorable from the perspective of operability and ease of viewing even when the user display space is limited, and a print device that comprises this print-setting device. The print-setting device comprises operating means which set print conditions, display means which display print-condition items and set print conditions, and control means which set print conditions based on operation of said operating means and control the display of said display means, wherein, in a first mode, a print condition corresponding to preset a settable item of all the print-condition items is able to be set by said operating means, and a print condition corresponding to an unsettable item except said settable item is set beforehand; and in a second mode, print conditions corresponding to all the print-condition items are able to be set by said operating means.
Abstract:
An image display device displays images at every frame for browsing without a trouble of assigning key information for image data of image files. In an operation for browsing contracted image data of an image file, if the number of image frames is large, the image display device increases a browsing speed by shortening a display time for one frame. Thus, a target image is found easily and speedily.
Abstract:
CPU 10 generates memory card loading/unloading information, based on memory card loading/unloading detection signals inputted from memory I/O 16. Memory I/O 16 works even when the power supply is in the OFF condition. CPU 10 also generates memory card control information of loaded memory cards A 5 and B 6, and stores it in RAM 11. When the power supply is re-activated, CPU 10 recognizes that memory card control information was stored in RAM 11 under the power OFF condition, generates memory card control information of loaded memory cards A 5 and B 6, and compares that with memory card control information which was stored in RAM 11 when the power was turned off, and then judges whether loaded memory cards A 5 and B 6 are the same as the cards which were used when the power was turned off.

Abstract:
An electronic album device of the invention recognizes the respective folder structures of a card and a disk, and copies files from the card to the disk by changing the folder number of each folder on the card to a number Mnull which is different from any of folder numbers on the disk while maintaining the same folder structure prepared on the card. Even in the case where the files are copied from the card to the disk and then written back to the card again, the file on the card can be reproduced with the digital camera originally used.
Abstract:
A scan request is analyzed to determine which application has issued the scan request. Depending on the analysis result, it is determined whether image data obtained by scanning a document using a scanner is stored in a semiconductor memory or on a hard disk. The image data is assigned an identifier indicating the recording medium in which the image data is stored, the type of the job, the document, the image file type, and the number of pages. The image data is processed in accordance with the identifier. This allows the data to be processed by the application in an optimum manner depending on the application.
Abstract:
An imaging apparatus, such as a video camera, is arranged to record a first image signal and a second image signal on a first recording medium and a second recording medium, respectively. While recording on the first recording medium the first image signal subjected to a process corresponding to a first special effect, the imaging apparatus records on the second recording medium the second image signal subjected to a process corresponding to a second special effect different from the first special effect.
