    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a golf ball that solves many problems associated with previous attempts at hollow core constructions by combining a hollow core construction with variations in the hardness of adjoining thermoplastic and/or thermoset core layers.SOLUTION: A golf ball includes a spherical inner core shell layer formed from a curable rubber composition, the shell layer having an outer surface, an inner surface, and an inner diameter to define a hollow center. A thermoplastic outer core layer is formed about the shell layer. An optional inner cover layer is formed about the outer core layer, the inner cover layer including an ionomeric material. An outer cover layer is formed over the core or optional inner cover layer, the outer cover layer including a polyurea or a polyurethane and having a second hardness less than that of the optional inner cover layer. The hollow center has a diameter of about 0.15 to 1.1 inches.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method relating to an improved fitting system for a golf club shaft.SOLUTION: The improved fitting system for golf club shafts utilizes specific data gathered from the golf swing itself of golfers 100 to determine the best performing golf club shaft for this particular golf swing. More specifically, the present invention relates to the utilization of infrared motion capturing cameras 108 to record the location data of a golf club shaft 102 throughout a swing. Based on the location data captured, one or more dynamic behavioral characteristics can be calculated to determine one or more preferred shaft characteristics. Using the preferred shaft characteristics, a shaft can be recommended for the golfer having this particular golf swing. The current inventive fitting methodology is preferred to the archaic fitting method of using data gathered from the result orientated ball flight data together with a tedious process of having to try numerous different shafts.

    Abstract: A glove closure system having an opening (32) dividing the glove into a lateral portion (thumb side) and a medial portion (pinky side). The opening allows for easy access of the user's hand. The system consists of a rectangular or oval flap (30) attached to the medial portion (23) and pulled over the access opening. A push button is mounted on the flap and movably connected to a slide bar attached to the lateral portion (21). The slide bar includes a notched surface for engaging and stationing the button at any point along the bar. The button includes a release tab which when depressed allows the button to move along the slide bar therein allowing for the closure to either be tightened or loosened. The further the button moves toward the lateral portion the tighter the closure. When the button is engaged and locked, a simple press on the release tab disengages to allow the glove to be opened.
