A) from 76 wt % to 95 wt % of a propylene homopolymer having:
fraction soluble in xylene at 25° C. between 2.0 wt % and 4.5 wt %; and
melt flow rate ranging from 60.0 to 110.0 g/10 min; and
B) from 5 wt % to 24 wt % of a copolymer of propylene and ethylene containing from 75 wt % to 90.0 wt % of ethylene derived units;
wherein the polypropylene composition has
content of ethylene derived units in the fraction soluble in xylene at 25° C. lower than the content of ethylene derived units of component B) and ranging from 51.0 wt % to 74.0 wt %; and
at least two melting points, wherein the higher melting points ranges from 156.0° C. to 166.0° C. and the lower melting point ranges from 90.0° C. to 125.0° C.;
wherein the sum of the amounts of component A) and B) being 100 wt %.-

Abstract: Methods of depolymerizing polyolefin-based material into useful petrochemical products using supported metal oxides and heat are described. The supported metal oxides improve the depolymerization reaction by decreasing the half time for the depolymerization, which results in a higher depolymerization rate and a shorter residence time in the depolymerization unit, allowing for a predictable depolymerization reaction, and decreasing the branching or aromatic formations in the product.

Abstract: Pre-treatment methods for polyolefin-based feed streams before depolymerization are described. Polyolefins are separated from other material in the polyolefin-based feed stream using density differences in an aqueous solution, which allows for a pre-treatment method that does not affect the depolymerization catalyst. By removing the non-polyolefin materials from the feed stream, the depolymerization of the polyolefin material can proceed at lower temperatures for longer cycles. This results in a more efficient process with a smaller carbon footprint.
