    Abstract: Some embodiments include an apparatus, method, and computer program product for simultaneous multiple secondary cell (SCell) fast activation in a wireless communications system. Some embodiments include a user equipment (UE) that can simultaneously activate multiple SCells. In some embodiments, after receiving an activation command, the UE can receive two or more temporary reference signals (T-RSs) which are user equipment (UE) specific reference signals. The UE can use the T-RSs for fine time/frequency (T/F) tracking and Automatic Gain Control (AGC) adjustment of corresponding SCells resulting in reduced SCell activation latency compared to utilizing a Synchronization Signal (SS)/Physical Broadcast Channel (PBCH) Block Measurement Timing Configuration (SMTC).

    Abstract: Some embodiments include a system, method, and computer program product for radio resource management (RRM) scaling factor enhancement without measurement gaps (MGs) in an E-UTRA-New Radio (NR) Dual Connectivity (EN-DC) network. Some embodiments include a user equipment (UE) that receives from a Primary Node (PN), a first NR measurement object (MO) without MG associated with a frequency. The UE receives from a Secondary Node (SN), a second NR MO without MG associated with the same frequency. The UE allocates resources based on a Primary Secondary Component Carrier (PSCC) and determines a scaling factor for determining a total procedure period for obtaining measurements to satisfy the first and the second NR MO without MG. Some embodiments include combining counts of NR MO without MG at a same frequency. Some embodiments include coordination between the PN and the SN so that MOs without MG at a common frequency satisfy the merging rule.

    Abstract: The exemplary embodiments relate to determining which instance of control information is to be used for transmitter beam selection. A user equipment may receive a medium access control (MAC) control element (CE) that includes first control information associated with transmitter beam selection, transmit an acknowledgement (ACK) to the network in response to receiving the MAC CE and receive a downlink signal over a physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) that schedules an uplink transmission. The downlink signal is received prior to an expiration of a predetermined duration relative to transmitting the ACK and includes second control information associated with transmitter beam selection. The UE may also transmit an uplink signal based on the scheduled uplink transmission. The UE selects a transmitter beam for the uplink signal based on one of the first control information or the second control information.
