    Abstract: A peep light support apparatus and method providing a telescoping staff assembly including an upper staff member, a steering light mounted near the top of the upper staff, and a clamp device capable of mounting a base portion of the staff assembly to a barge. Some embodiments include a bow amber light supported on the staff assembly. Some embodiment include lashing ties on the staff assembly. Another embodiment includes a watertight electrical system for providing power to the steering light. An exemplary method includes supporting a steering light on a barge bow using a staff assembly including an upper staff member that supports the steering light, and provides clamping and lashing down the staff assembly to the barge. A portable shield system including a navigation light wherein the shield includes an aluminum base, back, and side walls, and a fastener to fasten the assembly to a barge.

    Abstract: A portable emergency light for long range detection by flight and marine search and rescue personnel which utilizes a battery-powered laser array mounted and sealed within a waterproof housing to increase the effective intensity of a specific class laser. The laser array includes a plurality of laser light generators mounted together to project substantially along a common optical axis producing a signaling light. The search and rescue light may include a rotatable head for directing the signaling lights along a 360null plane and a three-dimensional gimbal which maintains the light beams in a level horizontal position so that the signaling lights may be easily projected along the entire horizon relative to the user. Each laser light generator is within US Government safety standards for the specific class laser despite the increased power of the signal. The laser array can be used with optical alignment lenses to form a desired highly visible light pattern.

A transparent light shade is mounted on the top end of the body of the snorkel, and is provided with a light source for emitting light outward from the top end of the body of the snorkel.
