Abstract:
A device for controlling a elevator installation with multiple deck cars which are simultaneously accessible at a main stopping point by different main stopping floors includes a call registering device by which a passenger can input a destination floor. In order to enable a more rapid filling of the building, a conversion unit responds to the destination call travel orders already allocated to and/or demanded of the multiple car having the deck which is to be allocated to the passenger to minimize the number of stops of the car. An indicating device indicates to the passenger the allocated car deck and/or the main stopping floor thereof.
Abstract:
A procedure for allocating the calls entered via landing call devices of the elevators in an elevator bank forms several allocation options. Each allocating option contains, for each active landing call, a call data item and an elevator data item which together are used to determine which elevator should service the call. The value of a cost function is calculated for each allocation option; one or more of the allocation options is repeatedly changed with respect to at least one data item, and the values of the cost functions of the new allocation options are calculated. Based on the values of the cost functions, the best allocation option is selected and the active elevator calls are allocated to the elevators in the elevator bank accordingly.
Abstract:
A service estimation apparatus for an elevator adopting an estimated index with which service by the elevator can be estimated in any building and under any traffic state comprising a measurement apparatus to measure periods of service time and a microprocessor operating under program control to calculate a mean value and a variance of the periods of service time to set a reference value for designating a range of the periods of service time and to determine the estimated index, namely, an upper limit presumption value based on the mean value, the variance, and the reference value, and to determine an unachieved rate of service reference corresponding to the upper limit presumption value, the unachieved rate of service reference being a probability value at which the elevator periods of service time fall outside the range designated by the reference value.
Abstract:
A group supervision apparatus for an elevator has apparatus operating under program control to predict periods of time of service by respective cages and to calculate predicted service periods of time, to calculate a mean value and a variance of the predicted service periods of time as to each of the cages, to set a reference value for deciding whether the service periods of time are long or short, to obtain a square value of a difference between the reference value and the mean value, to calculate a value of a ratio between the variance and the square value and to calculate an assignment estimation value on the basis of the value of the ratio in conformity with a predetermined assignment estimation function which becomes a monotonically increasing function of the ratio, to preferentially select a cage as to which the assignment estimation value is smaller, and to assign the selected cage to a hall call.
Abstract:
The present invention discloses a method and a system for serving user groups in an elevator group in which the floors to be served are divided into floor zones. Passengers are classified on the basis of call information and determined classification rules into user groups, an elevator car is allocated to each passenger and the calls addressed to each elevator car are served one user group at a time.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a solution for the allocation of destination calls in an elevator system comprising one or more single-deck elevators and one or more multi-deck elevators, in which system the passenger enters a destination call via a destination call device. The destination call entered by the passenger is received, an elevator type to serve the destination call is selected on the basis of an elevator type selection criterion, and the destination call is allocated to an elevator consistent with the elevator type thus selected.
Abstract:
The present invention discloses an extension to a prior-art genetic algorithm, with which the routing of elevators based on the calls given in an elevator system is formed. A new type of gene, a so-called run type gene, is connected to the chromosome of the genetic algorithm according to the invention, with which gene the desired speed profile for the elevator trip can be set. In this way e.g. an upper limit can be set for the acceleration or for the maximum travel speed of the elevator. By means of the run type gene a kinetic energy term is included in the optimization. The energy consumed by the system can thus be minimized more effectively by means of the algorithm, because the varying travel speeds of the elevators create more freedom of choice for the chromosomes of the algorithm.
Abstract:
The invention concerns a method for solving an optimization task consisting of a plurality of sub-functions in the control of the operation of an apparatus. In the method, a set of a plurality of solution alternatives is generated and, according to the method, each sub-function is normalized. Normalized cost functions of the sub-functions are generated for each solution alternative for solving the optimization task, and based on the normalized cost functions of the sub-functions, a set of solutions to the optimization task is formed. From the set of solutions, the best solution is selected and the apparatus is controlled in accordance with the solution thus selected.
