Abstract: 본 고안은 수압과 유속에 관계없이 자외선의 조사량을 최대한으로 하여 효과적인 살균을 할 수 있는 정수기의 자외선 살균장치에 관한 것이다.
종래의 자외선 살균장치는 수압이 약할 경우에는 물의 흐름이 원활하지 않게 되고, 반대로 수압이 높을 경우에는 빠른 유속에 의해 자외선의 조사량이 감소하게 되어 효과적인 살균을 할 수 없다는 문제점이 있는데 이를 해결하기 위하여 본 고안은 자외선램프가 구비되어 유입된 물을 살균하는 정수기의 살균장치에 있어서, 내측에 자외선램프(1)가 삽입되는 석영관(2)과; 상기 석영관(2)이 관통하는 램프홀(11)과, 상기 램프홀(11)의 일측에 형성되어 유입된 물의 이동통로를 형성하는 이동홀(12)과, 상기 램프홀(11)의 타측에 방사상으로 형성된 복수의 제1끼움홈(13)으로 이루어지는 복수의 차단부재(10)와; 상기 제1끼움홈(13)과 서로 대향하여 끼움 결합되는 복수의 제2끼움홈(21)이 일정한 간격을 이루며 형성되어 복수의 차단부재(10)들을 일정한 간격으로 연결하는 복수의 연결구(20)와; 상기 차단부재(10)의 램프홀(11)에 관통 결합된 석영관(2)이 내측 길이방향으로 삽입되고, 상기 차단부재(10)에 끼움 결합된 연결구(20)의 양 끝단에는 외부로 물이 유출되지 않도록 차단링(33) 및 패킹부재(34)가 밀착 설치되는 몸체(30)를 포함하여 구성되는 것을 특징으로 하는 정수기의 자외선 살균장치를 제안한다.
따라서 본 고안에 의하면, 유입된 물이 버퍼(Buffer)의 역할을 하는 복수의 차단부재(10)에 의해 유속이 감소되어 자외선 조사량이 최대가 됨으로써 수압과 유 속에 관계없이 최대한의 살균을 할 수 있다는 장점이 있다. 또한, 석영관(2)을 생략하여 자외선램프(1)만으로 구성하는 경우, 유입된 물이 자외선램프(1)의 표면에 직접 닿음으로써 최대한의 살균효과를 낼 수 있다는 장점이 있다.
