Abstract:
The present invention provides a grease composition (7) which has a low friction and a low viscosity and is durable at a high temperature and a grease-sealed bearing (1) in which the grease composition is enclosed. The grease composition contains base oil, a thickener, and an additive. The base oil contains an ionic liquid consisting of a cation component and an anion component. The additive contains a corrosion inhibitor such as nitrites, molybdates or dibasic acid salts. The thickener is fluorine resin such as polytetrafluoroethylene. The grease composition (7) is applied to a periphery of each rolling element (4) of the grease-sealed bearing (1).
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a grease composition having improved high-temperature durability while attaining friction reduction and viscosity reduction, and to provide a grease-sealed bearing in which grease is sealed. SOLUTION: The grease composition comprises a base oil, a thickening agent and an additive, wherein the base oil contains an ionic liquid composed of a cation component and an anion component, the additive contains a corrosion inhibitor such as nitrites, molybdates and dibasic acid salts, and the thickening agent is a fluororesin such as polytetrafluoroethylene resin. The grease-sealed bearing is sealed with the grease composition 7 at least around a rolling element 4. COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel lubricant and a friction modifier containing a solid lubricant and a binding agent as needed in an aqueous medium. SOLUTION: The problem to be solved is appropriate to lubricate steel-steel interfaces (e.g., tractor-trailer couplings, rail-wheel systems and other heavy duty applications). The invention is attained by a composition containing a friction modifier having a high or very high positive coefficient of friction such that the coefficient of friction is considerably higher than that of the solid lubricant. The invention further relates to a composition containing the binding agent and the friction modifier having a high or very high positive coefficient of friction in an aqueous medium. Abstract:
A grease composition for high-temperature, high-speed and high-load bearings comprises (i) a lubricating base oil composed of an alkyldiphenyl ether lubricant as an essential ingredient and having a kinematic viscosity of 90-160 cSt at 40 DEG C., and (ii) 22-30 wt. %, based on the grease composition, of a diurea compound as a thickener. The diurea compound is represented by the following formula:bon group having 6-15 carbon atoms, R1 and R3 denote an aromatic hydrocarbon group having 6-12 carbon atoms or a linear alkyl group having 8-20 carbon atoms, and the proportion of aromatic hydrocarbon groups in R1 and R3 is 70-95 mole %. The NLGI thickness grade of said composition is in a range of from No. 1 to No. 3.

PCT No. PCT/JP94/01662 Sec. 371 Date Mar. 28, 1996 Sec. 102(e) Date Mar. 28, 1996 PCT Filed Oct. 5, 1994 PCT Pub. No. WO95/09904 PCT Pub. Date Apr. 13, 1995A lubricating oil composition for a high-speed gear particularly having a peripheral speed of 10 m/sec or more is herein disclosed which is obtained by blending a base oil having a % CA of 5 or less and preferably further having a nitrogen content of 50 ppm or less and a sulfur content of 50 ppm or less with a sulfur additive, a phosphorus additive and a nitrogen additive so that an element ratio 100N/(S+P) in the composition may be in the range of 4 to 10 by weight, and the lubricating oil composition has a sufficient hypoid gear performance, can inhibit the formation of a sludge, and permits the prolongation of the life of an oil seal for use in a high-speed and/or a high-temperature rotating portion.
