A constructional panel has a generally rectangular central section and two opposed end sections, each having an isosceles trapezoid part, its short edge conjoined to an edge of the central section and its long edge conjoined to a rectangular part, there being oblique edges extending between the long and short edges. The panel is thus bound by one pair of opposed edges of the central section, the oblique edges of the two end sections, one pair of opposed edges of the rectangular part and a further edge of the rectangular part opposed to that edge conjoined to the trapezoid part. The panel edges are configured for connection to the corresponding edges of like panels to build up an area of panelling. Projecting tabs from some edges are received in corresponding receptors on opposed edges and having lock arrangements, whereby the interengaged panels may be locked together.
Abstract:
A continuous covered area, such as a sidewalk or patio, is formed by vertically interlocking tessellated components. One embodiment, termed PORTAPAVE™, achieves this interlocking via an array of uniquely configured two-sectioned pavers. Each paver has a first section of a first shape and a second section of a second shape impressed upon the first section and bonded together. In one embodiment, first sections of pavers in an installed bottom layer form a cavity between them having the same shape as the second section of a paver that is inverted onto the pavers of the bottom layer, thus providing a top layer. Each inverted paver in this top layer is fitted to interlock in that cavity formed between the un-inverted pavers in the bottom layer. Also provided is a method of making the components, e.g., pavers, and a method of installing them.

A pre-fabricated concrete slab system and method have matching rectangular male and female type slabs which fit adjacent to each other in a checkerboard fashion. The male slabs include spaced reinforcing rods extending longitudinally and transversely through the male slabs with the rods' distal ends protruding outwardly away from one or more side edges of the male slabs to form a plurality of male connectors. The female slabs include a plurality of corresponding female sockets on one or more sides of the female slab, each female socket receiving a corresponding male connector when dropped therein. Corresponding female sockets positioned on opposite side edges of the female slabs are interconnected by steel reinforcing bars in both the longitudinal and transverse directions in a configuration similar to the male slabs so that, when connected, a continuous tension reinforcement is established between male and female slabs in both the longitudinal and transverse directions.

A grid-top floor tile for outdoor use includes a polymer tile having a grid-type top surface with multiple levels, such as a bi-level surface having an upper lattice and a lower lattice oriented generally transverse to the upper lattice. The multiple levels of the surface are preferably integrally formed with one another and provide drainage gaps therethrough. In a bi-level surface configuration, the lower lattice has a top surface below a top surface of the upper lattice, so as to draw residual moisture below the top surface of the upper lattice. The tile further includes a support structure, configured to support the tile on a support surface and provide drainage pathways beneath the top surface. The tile still further comprises various reinforcement members on each of the loop and pin connectors used to interlock the tiles when forming a flooring assembly.

A pre-fabricated warped pavement slab and a forming system for making the slabs. The forming system includes a plurality of forming sections which can be adjusted so as to form a warped-plane pavement slab. Also disclosed are methods for making the pavement slab and forming system. Also disclosed is a method for installing the warped pavement slab.

A composite paver system comprising two distinct types of interlocking pavers, both being formed from a mixture of sawdust and polymers. One type of paver has a groove around the entire periphery, and a plurality of interlocking members are provided to fit into the grooves between adjoining pavers to secure them together. The other type of paver comprises a plurality of tiles all of which are notched at each corner, and at least one interlocking member that fit into the notches at the corners of adjoining tiles. The interlocking members are screwed to the corners to secure the tiles together as one unitary paver. Using both formats an economical composite patio or deck surface can be built at one fourth the weight of conventional cement pavers, at a lower cost (using a wood mitre saw for trimming rather than a diamond cut saw), and yet with increased integrity. Moreover, the reduced thickness and weight of the pavers eases installation by reducing the excavation needed as well as the carrying weight of the pavers thereto.

Multiple molded polymeric panels of various configurations are mechanically fastened together along a side surface having alternating upright and downward facing steps containing fastening elements to provide putting greens of different dimensions and shape. Each panel has a planar top surface and a bottom integral grid supporting structure. A simulated grass overlies the joined panels. Raised pads are optionally placed between the top surface of the panels and the simulated grass to provide a contoured green.
